Harrison Ford Says He's Not Pro-Bush

Film star Harrison Ford has become the latest celebrity to say that he's not a fan of President George W. Bush.
The New York Daily News cleared up conflicting reports of the "Air Force One" president's stance on the potential war with Iraq. The paper said numerous reports found Ford opposing the antiwar letter to Bush in December from the celebrity group Artists United to Win Without War.
Speaking through his manager Patricia McQueeney, Ford said his feelings are "exactly the opposite" of what's been reported. She told the Daily News that Ford was "appalled by the idea" that anyone would think he supports a war with Iraq.
That's not to say that he doesn't want Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein out of power. In fact, he wants Bush out of power, too.
"What I'm for is a regime change on both sides," Ford told the Daily News through McQueeney.
Ford next stars as a LAPD detective in the action comedy-drama "Hollywood Homicide."

Well, let's see. I've trashed my Martin Sheen movies, Babs records, and Jacko videos. Now comes my H. Ford tapes. Guess it's back to Sesame Street reruns.

So what? Are we supposed to throw ourselves on the ground and tear our hair? Another egotistical aging Hollyweird who needs to make the world aware of his existence.

Then LulaBelle is not pro-Harrison Ford. Never was really, but some of his movies were okay. All I can say is thank God for Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson!

Harrison Ford had been one of my favorite actors. But he seemingly can't choose a role that is worth two hours of anyone's life anymore. Looks like he is choosing his beliefs in the same fashion as his movie roles. K-19???? That lame movie almost made the wife a widow since I thought I was gonna die watching its lame story and stupid accents plod along.

I heard Kermit was wearing a "Not my President" button.

Let's not forget that
Harrison Ford went to great lengths dodging the draft as well.

Harrison Ford's range of emotion as an actor.

FReepers, WHO FRICKING CARES about what brain-dead Hollywood actors and actresses think about Bush or conservatives in general.
Some of you people are worse than the tabloids.

Notice how the author states Ford is the star of "Air Force One" and not other movies like "Indiana Jones." Like this somehow implies Ford is an authority to critique the President because he starred in a movie regarding something presidential. Geesch.

One more Hollywood jerk gets on my shit-list.

I thought some of his early stuff was pretty good and I admire the way he went from a carpenter to an actor (although carpentry takes a lot more talent, its more difficult to get decent stage and screen roles). He is getting old, however (60) and apparently doesn't know it.

My opinion is that Ford is taking a sort of a reluctant, quiet anti-war stance.
So he doesn't like Bush. Big deal. But at least he's not frothing at the mouth about it like Martin Sheen or Julia Roberts are.

Ford is a has-been who doesn't realize his time has past. All of his movies since "Air Force One" has bombed (no pun intended).
He's still one of my favorite actors, however, and word is that he's starring in "Indiana Jones 4." Can't wait to see it.

He is not "pro-bush?" What is he -- gay?
Sorry, couldn't resist. BTW, he is not still dating that morbid chick who was starving herself to death, is he? Calista Flockhart? She is young enough to be his daughter, and lite enough to be a pre-teen daughter at that!
Who gives a good God-damn what Harrison Ford thinks. I'd like to see W invite him on Air-force one, and them boot him out the door at 36 thousand feet by saying, "Get off my plane."

Don't get me wrong - It's important that we highlight the stupidity and anti-Americanism of Hollywood. But lately it's gotten out of hand to a point when a mere soundbite from a celebrity creates a thread that generates over 200 replies.

I agree. I don't care if some actor holds a dumb opinion. I do care when they use their position to trash America. Ford doesn't seem to be doing this here, much as I disagree with him.

Harrison Ford gets a lot of mileage out of the fact that he's affable and has screen presence. He has not done a challenging movie role in many years. Harrison Ford doesn't know how to disappear into a role, he has them all re-written to fit his persona. He's really quite wooden and I would be surprised if he ever acted again.
