Sorry in advance for the rant, but if any of you freedom loving folks are gettin' tired of being picked on for driving an SUV, and think you might like to strike back for a change.... I have an Idea.
I was just surfing the net and wound up on this website,
http://www.moles.org/ProjectUnderground/campaigns/suv.shtml
It's by a group of greenie weenies that are offering free "tickets" for other greenie weenies to put on all of our gas guzzling SUV's as a protest. Ain't dat special?
I think all of us freepers should order as many of these "tickets" as we can get, then toss em, or use em to start a nice warm "weenie" roastin' fire! Not only would we strike back by making them waste their time and money printing and shipping this crappola out to us, but we'd be giving them a warm "fuzzy" feeling inside thinking they have reached so many like-minded weenies!
Frankly, I couldn't think of a better vehicle for me to drive. I live 13 miles from my work, over country back roads, in North Western OHIO. And this year I've had to use my 4 wheel drive a lot! I also do most of my own home repair, remodeling, landscaping, gardening, and I've had to haul everything, wood, stone, gravel, appliances, furniture, tools, and so much more, on a fairly regular basis. I don't just use my lil' Chevy Blazer 4X4 for tooling around. Plus, I feel safer with my family riding in a vehicle that has a better chance of surviving an accident, because it actually has a frame under it! Maybe ya'll can afford 2 vehicles, one for utility use, and another for everyday driving, but I can't. So I drive what's best for ME. I don't think it's anybody's !@$#$^!%#^&%^*% business WHAT I drive!
If these bozo's want to send me some handy dandy fire starters, why not take em up on it?
By the way weenies, what about all those poor lil' innocent trees you're destroying to make the cards? How un-P.C. of ya'll! It may be "legal", but if I would happen to catch one of 'em plastering my vehicle with this crap, I'd most definetely show him another "innovative" location to stuff a few of 'em!

That sounds good, but I don't know, fireplaces are so much trouble. You have to haul in the wood, haul out the ashes. I think I'll stick to the heated seat.

You know- I think part of this anti-SUV thing is exactly to pressure people NOT to have larger families. It's just part of the whole anti-people agenda.

Agree with you on the Focus. Plus they cancelled the Contour and expect the Focus, which is a smaller, cheaper car, to take it's place. At least the Taurus looks decent after the makeover, although I'd like it more if it came with a 5-speed..for some reason, the automatic in the Taurus is a power-sucking, historically unreliable turd of a transmission.

Fireplace? British cars have had them for years. The only problem is that you never know when it's gonna light up, and when it does, it only happens once..

It was a joke. I have a 4runner, not a humvee.

I don't feel picked on at all.
My SUV is a Peterbilt.

I know. Picturing a car with a fireplace made me think of a car-b-cue, which made me think of british cars (which are more likely to become car-b-cues/unintentional fireplaces), and that is I came up with my joke.

I think im going to give the same treatment to the suv haters that i give to nico nazi's.IGNORE thier sorry a**es.
here at my home we all drive big ford pickem trucks 1968,1971,and a 1994. my father in law who lives with us drives a 1996 chevy suburban.my FIL is in his 60's and i feel better having him go to town in this hated rig than in a itty bitty rice burner that becomes a twisted hunk of flaming metal at the first slam from anthor rig.

Don't you love the heated seats? When my back hurts I turn the heat on high & I don't want to get out of the truck. In the summer I have the A/C blowing on my face & the heated seat on my back. Wow that luxury! This morning, I was at Vally Forge Park (in PA). It was raining, cold, snow covered, and 37 degrees. I was at a k-9 search and rescue training. The roads I have to go on to get to these training places can be hairy. My TrailBlazer is wonderful and I LOVE it, expecially the HEATED SEATS! After a morning like this morning, I turn the seats on 'broil' all the way home! :)

I wonder if these "SUVs are evil" people also get upset at the gas guzzler large trucks that are importing their food to the local grocery? Or do they all graze in the backyard? My husband told me that the Department of Transportation says the average fuel economy should be 25mpg. Their own trucks get 6 mpg.

(Are we really arrogant? Or are they just jealous of us?)
To: BB2
Am I sick of it? Yeah ... especially since my SUV gets better gas mileage than my sedan!
