Feb. 26 Looks like Chelsea Clinton wont be going to work for McKinsey after all. The former first daughter was in talks to work in the London office of the New York-based consulting firm at a reported salary of $100,000 or more but sources say that the two couldnt agree on terms.
THE TRUTH IS, Chelsea wants to come back to New York, a source tells The Scoop. Her boyfriend [Ian Klaus] also wants to be based in New York.
But, says the source, Clinton, who turns 23 on Thursday, wont be standing on the unemployment line.
She has plenty of offers on the table, says the source. There really was a real feeding frenzy to hire her.
I cant offer a comment, a McKinsey spokesman told The Scoop.

I kinda figured she'd move back to Arkansas.

Probably they actually wanted her to WORK for the money.
McKinsey is pretty notorious for buying brains at wholesale and selling them at retail. They work their young hires practically to death.

What do you get when you cross a crocked politician with a crocked lawyer?

Jennie Craig might hire her to pose as a "before" picture.

I used to buy McKinsey's services and I worked for AT Kearney. I could not imagine paying them having a controversial person on their teams like this.
Some clients would balk at the trained pigs person being involved.

Beat me to it.
This girl has never done work in her life. Got into Stanford. Didn't attend classes. Graduated. Got into Oxford. Didn't attend classes. Graduated. Got hired at a salary of $100K. Something about the job didn't meet her expectations. She's shopping for a deal that's more to her liking.
She will make no contribution to humanity.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
She'd prolly would have to put in a twelve hour day a McKinsey. BTW, she's still fugly.

Its tough to get into consulting now, because clients are paying.
BAs at Chelsea's level usually get only 50 60 a year, especially in this economy.

Let's see, a priviledged education - who cares what her degree is in, or her GPA.
Mom is a sitting Senator in New York
Dad is heading the DNC, with political connections.
All she has to do is fog a mirror. People are bidding not on a talented employee, but a chance to earn political favors. Once 'hired' Chelsea doesn't even have to show up for work. One can only imagine being forced to write her performance appraisal. $100,000 for political favors is a bargain.
My question is simply "How would she compete if she were born of different parents?". This, from a party that holds that 'Class' is wrong, and is firmly in the domain of Republicans.

I'm still trying to figure out how someone with an undergraduate degree in a non technical field, maybe some graduate credits (though I doubt seriously she has any)and having no experience doing anything productive can land a 100K salary in her first job. It sure isn't based on good looks.
To: ClearCase_guy
She certainly has a nice, clean, easy to read resume, though. Lots of white space.

Well, if I worked there, I would be incensed that my company and job was just downgraded to a pandering shlep shop by assisting in the job search for a spoiled American brat.
I bet the internal fight was brutal. Any bets a mass exodus was planned?
To: fooman
I agree, they probably got lots of flack about the previous announcement.
I bet Chelsea ends up working for Tina Brown or may Hillary can divert some government funding under the Homeland Security Agency, and set up Chelsea and her boyfriend.

LOL! From the site:
"Stupid White Men" author Michael Moore made it clear - yet again - who he thinks is the stupidest white man of all. The filmmaker's tome received the prestigious Book of the Year Award in London last night, and a source tells The Scoop that, not surprisingly, Moore "really ripped into George Bush." "America is being led into war with Iraq by a guy who can't even find it on a map," Moore told the audience. But the lack of admiration is mutual. "I've only met George Bush once," Moore said. "He said to me, 'Michael, go find real work.'"

It sure isn't based on good looks
If looks could kill she would be a WMD.

no experience doing anything productive can land a 100K salary in her first job. That's what I was thinking--how does she rate $100K. If she's anything like her parents, she ain't worth 2 cents.
