Peace marches? War protests? Anti-bombing demonstrations? What's the right term?

Excuse the vanity post. I'll make it brief.
There are more stories than I care to count, and a commensurate number of FR threads, on peace marches, war protests, anti-bombing demonstrations, anti-military rallies, call them what you will. And what should they be called?
May I suggest a little straightforward language? When you discuss the matter with friends and family, when you write letters to the editor, when you call a talk radio program, refer to them as anti-American rallies. Because the unvarnished truth is, whether these assemblies take place in Baghdad, Paris, London, or Charlotte, that's what they are.
The participants, of course, aren't going to want to hear it. But what else are they doing, if not giving aid and comfort to the enemy? To call them "appeasers" would be to state the obvious; with regard to U.S. citizens, I don't think "traitors" is too strong.
Some participants in these anti-American rallies will, once military action begins in earnest, loudly claim that they now "support our troops," even though they disagree with the war. Don't let them get away with it. Their belated lukewarm "support" won't be needed, and it won't be welcome. Remind them that they participated in anti-American rallies, and that their loyalties are already a matter of record. The truth is, the U.S. protesters consist overwhelmingly of those who wish for George W. Bush to fail, no matter the cost to our armed forces, to our country, or to the civilized world.

Anti-American is right on the money.

I can get with that terminology real quick! That makes me a pro-American...instead of the clumsy 'pro-war demonstrator' nonsense that some idiots in the press have been using.

I'll second that: "Anti-American"
The other side "Supports the Troops" (remember what the "anti-war peacenik" anti-Americans did to the troops returning from Vietnam?). After all, "War is Bad, but Terrorism is Worse!", as one poster puts it.

Peace, Love and Beat Up a CopPig!

A gathering of anti-American socialist morons.

..add to that, Hate Israel; Hate God. They don't hate God; they deny his existence. After all, for each and every one of them "It's all about ME", and the existence of a God that exists outside their ability to invent and discard Him at will puts the lie to that assertion.

When you stand with America's enemies, you are anti-American. I'm sorry but there is no other word for it.

We need another Abraham Lincoln.
Back when the war protesters gathered against Lincoln's War on the South, Lincoln got this grand idea to send in Federal troops to gun them all down. The streets were crimson with the blood of the thousands slain because they didn't want to die shooting their brothers in the south.
We just want Saddam to leave and get rid of his WMD. It isn't Bush's War, it is Saddams. Yet these Appeasnicks treat Saddam as the victim.
I still say they should all volunteer to be human shields.

I have come to a similar conclusion. They do not act in a peaceful manner, but rather in a hateful manner.
