Just got off the phone with Firebrand. The NYPD is jerking us around as usual. We are allowed to go through only on 40th street and will have to converge at the corner of 41st street and 1st avenue.I am updating the hotline 917-387-8865 of any changes.
I will try to post with my pocket pc from the location as soon as I get there. Getting in my car and will try to drive into Manhattan.

An answer to the person on the thread who asked "why all the 'anti-war' protests this weekend, and who's doing this?"
The size of and number of protests indicate to me that the communists are very worried. They are pulling out all the stops... dumping massive amounts of money into the organization and funding of these protests. They have everything to lose when the USA goes in to Iraq to do INSPECTIONS IN FORCE, as JVb calls it.
The communists, as usual, try to hold onto each dictatorship in the world that furthers their agenda. They are very worried that they are gooing to witness the demise of another of their pet murderers.
My big question is - why can't the sheep see this? They are being used, bigtime, by the communists.
Brian Becker, Peta Lindsay, Ramsey Clark, Larry Holmes and the rest of the leaders of ANSWER and WWP are in their death throes. OK, so maybe it doesn't look like it, by watching the news reports, but these communists are on the move because they fear what the US is working on is to kill their dream. Americans have got to wake up and recognize this "anti-war" movement is not that, but a "death to Democracy" movement.

I just talked to Kristinn. He said the streets were completely blocked so people who tried to get to our rally couldn't.
The NYPD were cheering and waving at the FReepers while they walked the three blocks from the rally site to McFaddens Restaurant at 2nd Avenue and 42nd Street. The rally is over and our stalwart crew is warming up because it was COLD outside.
To expand on the egg-throwing incident. There was an apartment building next to where the Tri-State Chapter was moved for their rally and several people threw eggs off their balconies at the good guys supporting our troops. At least two eggs were thrown at the group.
After they eat, Kristinn and a few others are going to go back out and walk the streets with their signs. At least 50 people showed up at the rally. After-action reports and pictures will, I assume, follow as soon as people get home and wind down after a hard day on the streets of NYC.

New Update from Kristinn:
There have been reports of sporadic violence amongst the anti-war crowd; there have been a number of arrests. There have been over 100 police calls for back-up to handle the situations getting out of control with the anti-war crowd.

Foxnews reported the first arrest in NYC so I guess the police are more tolerant than usual. They also said there's supposed to be 100,000 protestors but cannot confirm that number. Recollections of the Million Mom March?

Go get 'em guys. We are cheering you on. BTW, you would not believe (or maybe you would) the breathless coverage on CNN of this anti-American stuff. It is just awful.Aww, those protesters...They're so cute when they think they're changing the course of history! You just want to pick them up and give them a bath hug!
And then laugh in their faces.

The rally ended and we were cheated of an audience.
We are now @ McFadden's having food and drink..
Curtis gave a great speech @ the rally. We had over 50 people attend our rally. Cops are telling us many cops have been injured by the "peace" lovers.
We will post a full report when we get home.

BTW - Media coverage, which is the name of the game, might be improved by holding rallies on days when the lefties aren't hogging the cameras. Media coverage is not the be all-and end-all to why we do this, Bob. If it was, we'd be burning effigies of Saddam on street corners in large cities. The folks who go out into the streets to face down the communist-led marches are not looking for face-time on the news; at least not the ones that I know.
They are out on the street to tell the useful idiots who are marching under the ANSWER/WWP/ISO, etc. banners that they are being used to destroy democracy from within the borders of the US.
They are out in the cold waving flags and supporting the young men and women in the US military who are ready to die to stop a madman from killing innocents around the world (through his bankrolling and otherwise supporting terrorist acts).
They are out on the streets in cities across the country today to show the communists that they will never silence the truth about their agenda.
And God Bless each and every one of the hardy souls who put their money where their hearts are, and do the work on the street.
If the media cares to cover us, that's all the better, but it's most certainly not why we do this. Conservative groups are working together. Check out the thread about the College Republicans protesting the French this week for some proof of that. Please try to keep the negativity out of these threads.

I guess the "PEACE" protestors are looking to get coverage anyway they can. Won't rest until our freepers are posting from their homes.

WTIC radio in Hartford is reporting that seventeen train cars of peaceniks are heading to NYC from CT!Meaningless. It's the Metro-North Commuter Railroad. They just tacked on a few extra cars, and I'm pretty sure they had to *pay* for those!

Looks like you are the one being shrill and negative. Your post just made his point!

How many on the enemy camp? Estimate. Foxnews said they were told 100,000 would be in attendance but cannot confirm. As per seamole, all numbers in Europe seem to be inflated.

LOL. I just heard Liz Trotta on Fox saying that these pathetic people want to relive the romance of the 60's and 70's, which I believe is the case, at least for the useful idiot contingent.
