Last night I was informed that our poll was attacked by terrorist. Not the kind of terrorist you hear about everyday but the kind at Free Republic.com. Freeping is a way of manipulating a poll to reflect an outcome which is not neccesarily the opinion of our visitors. The polling system was ... damaged and before I remove it I want everyone to see what happened.
Free Republic at this time has LRP World News Listed at the top of one of their web pages for a need of major freeping. In fact a quick search on google will show that there is even software available to assist with this unethical practice.
The following page at Free Republic has LRP World News listed at the top. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/search?s=FReep+poll&m=all&o=time
The original answer that received 429 votes in a MATTER OF HOURS was that Bush truly believes Iraq is a true danger. I do not know what happened but that answer was removed and all the votes where transfered to another one that was less desirable to the terrorist.
The folks a Free Republic.com have had to resort to this tactic because of the failing support for Bush. They can't accept the fact that most independent thinking people do not support a war with Iraq. Nor can they accept the freedom of opinion. LRP World News is relatively new site. We would be lucky to get 429 visitors in a day. Previous polls also reflect much lower traffic with total votes over a week being less than 100 people.
This is why I do not trust polls. This is also why LRP World News will be forced to remove the polling system in the next few days. With this type of terrorism being performed by Bush's Nazi followers their is no way a true reflection of our visitor opinions can be guaranteed

If I visit the site and leave an opinion as asked, have I not done just as he wants done?

Actually I agree with this statement:
None of the other modified pictures, but this one that says "Screw the UN" is alright.

Terrorists?
Hmmmmmmm.
I wonder what that makes our mentors and teachers: 25 years of progressive darlings, spreading "liberal" hate and vandalism at every opportunity...
Payback's a bitch!

They can't accept the fact that most independent thinking people do not support a war with Iraq. Define "most."

Better yet, I would like a definition of "independent thinking people." My bet is that they would come up with some sort of bogus definition. In order to meet the essence of their definition, "independent thinkers" are not necessarily those who form their own opinions based on fact, but those others who think exactly like themselves and have no differing opinion.
Opinions of dissent are automatically thrown into the category of closed-minded, bigoted, and hate-mongering.

LRP World News? What the heck does that stand for? Liberal Ranting Punks? Leftists, Reds, and Pinkos?
I don't believe that votes were "transfered [sic]." This is reminiscent of that infamous incident in the 2000 primaries in which a Freeper simply posted the publicly available number and password for a phone news conference with the Democrats; DNC types were bloviating that this must have been some sophisticated plot dreamed up by the GOP to infiltrate the conference. There was nothing more high-tech about that Freeping than cutting and pasting.*
Wow, talk about integrity (NOT!): the guy puts up a poll and whines when it doesn't go the way he thinks it does, and on top of that, he says, "That's why I don't trust polls!"
I must say, calling Freepers "Nazis" and "terrorists" in an editorial about a meaningless online poll is impressive. Most Freeper-haters don't manage to drag out the other "N-word" unless it actually concerns deep-seated ideology differences.
It not only looks like there won't ever be a leftist Rush Limbaugh, it looks like there won't ever be a leftist Matt Drudge. In the words of Bugs Bunny, "Whatta maroon!"
*That, IMHO, was a blown opportunity. Instead of thoughtfully issuing relevent questions that the mainstreamers would never ask -- primarily about Gore's iced tea guzzling at that Buddhist temple fundraiser -- some immature FR caller repeatedly flushed his toilet over the phone, bringing an early end to the whole thing.

I really don't believe that statement, as Jim hasn't demonstrated being the "shy" and "evasive" sort!!!
Ha! Loved this and your answer! Best wishes...
