Yes, I hope that you are correct. And there is always the slim chance that the mom did this as Baby Moses kind of thing, but there are so many better options available that I doubt it.

My guess is some sort of foul play, and or drugs are involved. In fact I'll bet anything that the latter is true.

They said on FNC that he told police the man who took him into the store is his grandfather(!)

Wow. The guy in the video didn't look that old, either.

I agree completely with your sentiment on this. The little boy was a lot safer there than what COULD have befallen his young life.

By making the man out to be a monster we may prevent someone else from using this solution.

I have three sons, so I know about the bond between mother and son, and I think God knows who to give them to. That child is angelic. Since we don't know what the parent's situation is, it may have taken more love to give him up in this way. They will locate the parents soon, I'm sure.

At least he gave him a toy to play with....

The worst is yet to come if the boy is trapped in the foster care system for the rest of his childhood.

>>So many would be willng....especially those moms who never had a son.<<

Those of us who do have sons already would be willing to add him to what, including my husband, is currently a homegrown basketball team.If I could talk my husband into it I would happily go for a football team ;) Boys are absolutely fantastic- they make everday an Indiana Jones style adventure.

It breaks my heart too, but at least he wasn't found suffocated in a trash can somewhere.

Another thing that occurred to me is that the boy's parents are illegals and are being forced to leave the country and they thought doing something like this would give the boy a chance and guarantee him being raised in the U.S. It is just really weird that nobody is missing him. His face has been all over the news for hours.
