[history]
WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Dozens of counter-demonstrators armed with U.S. flags showed up to the Washington anti-war protest Saturday to express their support for Bush's policy on Iraq.
Braving the below freezing temperatures, members of FreeRepublic.com, a conservative online group, and others not affiliated with formal organizations took over a block of sidewalk along the march route across from the Marine Barracks.

I caught the recap of the march on
American Perspective Saturday evening. After seeing the guy in the Arafat scarf wrap up the final rants (including weather-beaten femme rocker Patti Smith's amusing "People Have The Power" song, sung through Austin Powers' teeth) they showed the march as it was directed by Brian Becker to the Navy Yard.
After hearing "Money for (fill in leftist big government cause), not for war" chanted about a hundred times, I was about to grab the remote when I heard "God Bless America" sung, and said, "It's the D.C. Chapter! They showed them on camera!"
I especially liked the "Swim to Cuba" chant.

After getting snubbed by C-SPAN for our morning rally, it was pretty funny to see that bit at 8th and I.
Doctor Raoul had way too much fun with the Swim to Cuba chant.

Thanks for your help. The "W" as Uncle Sam graphic was a big hit, as was the logo you (once again) designed for the rally.

The fun the DC chapter has is about the only reason I'm sorry I don't still live in Maryland.
