First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway

The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

Put me on the monthly donor list. I'm in the midst of debating if I should shoot the wad and join the dollar a day club, It's not like it isn;t money well spent!

Unfortunately, being a California resident who isn;t sure if he will have any money in his pocket soon, I may just do a double up instead of a triple increase. Good thing I'm not a smoker.

One of the great features that has been added with the new donation system is a regular e-mail that goes out to each donor every month five days before the deduction is to be made. Part of it reads:

This e-mail is a reminder that it is time for your next scheduled donation. Your donation amount of (amount) will automatically be charged to your credit card on (date).

If you would like to change your contribution information, simply respond to this e-mail or e-mail cc@freerepublic.com before (same date).

This allows for flexibility in your contributions and saves you the hassle if you have to make a change for any reason.

Congratulations on becoming a monthly donor.

I think that all of us Kalifornians on Free Republic should be at least monthly donors for inflicting Boxer, ChiFi Frankenstein, Herr Davis, Nostralitis Waxman, the Pelosi and other Kali rats on the rest of the nation.

As much as our Kali Kadre of Freepers post, we all should be $/day donors, just to pay for the band width we use, as we bitch and moan about Herr Davi$!:)

I just wish that we had about 5,000 Cali Freepers and all of us were $/day donors. Then maybe we could really get the word out to turn this state around.

If you didn't re-do your monthly with the new system then most likely you are not on the new monthly set up now

If I recall correctly none of the old information was transferred into the new system .. There was a Thread awaile ago asking monthlies to resubmit their information

I don't have access to any of that information but I guess if you check you statements you will be able to tell for sure ..

Or maybe Jim can give you better information than I can
