[history]
Former Blaine City Council member David White has started a petition to recall U.S. Sen. Patty Murray from office for comments she made recently about terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.
White said he will begin circulating the petition soon and will ask the Whatcom County Republican Party to solicit signatures, then present the petition to federal officials.

A bump for the Washington folks. If I thought I would be legal (resident of Washington, that is), I would sign the petition!

BTTT Morning Robert357thanks for posting this. Sorry about the ping to you, when you obviously know the article. (You're on my WA list :)) Hope to see you Saturday at the potluck in Tacoma. I'd love for Patty to receive the attention she deserves. Hard I know, without the media. IMHO it's about time the Republican pols in WA stood up and made some noise.

Salvation, do you not think it appropriate for ANY concerned American to demand patriotism from EVERY Senator? I don't believe you have to be a WA resident to be allowed an opinion/vote on this. Just MHO.

I think if Senator Murray has been running around the state stumping for Osama Bin Laden the media needs to investigate it. The lying liberal media (yes, I know that's redundant, any way you parse it) won't. Remember how they kept telling us, over and over and over and over, that we the public weren't at all interested in the Lewinsky scandal / impeachment? That's all we'll get from them here.

Her spokesman called the senator a victim of a vast right-wing media machine.

Correct. However, we plebes can't vote vote them out of office. Only locals can do that. BTTT.

Truthfully, the only way "regular" folks are going to get excited about this is for massive national BAD publicity to occur. (Think Trent Lott) Then they vote. But IMHO, first we need to fan the flames a bit. ;)

She's dumb as a post, maybe dumber. Good for David.

"Her spokesman called the senator a victim of a right-wing media machine."Oh please. The media hasn't even INTERVIEWED the traitorous Senator about her lying anti-American comments (e.g. "The U.S. hasn't done that [build schools or donate money to the Middle-East].").
Compare how the media has broadcast her comments to how they treated Trent Lott's comment last month.
Contrary to what the Lefty spokesperson claimed, the media is currently covering up for Patty, not victimizing her.

In a statement last Friday, Murray said Vance and other critics were twisting her words.Translation: Boy am I an idiot for saying what I said and it has caused me a lot of political grief! NOW, how do I weasel my way out of it and save face?

It's amazing the way the public attitude -- as interpreted by liberal journalists -- fluctuates exactly in concert with who's involved in the scandal.
When it's a Democrat, the public isn't interested. When it's a Republican, "the people have a right to know!"

Her spokesman called the senator a victim of a right-wing media machine. Ha! I only wish there was such a thing. These liberals have had such an easy and cozy ride the last 40 years or so with the media they have lost any mental faculties they may have once had. Their minds have atrophied. It is pitiful.
