This is my nomination for thread of the year.
The Democrat Party is beyond corrupt, It's also evil.

PS: We took the 2002 election in a landslide! Major dittos to Jim!
Here is a response that it got from the left wing nuts one of many......

Ben Shapiro knows good news when he hears it.
I have trouble feigning much interest in Mr. Shapiro's column. Nonetheless, since today's article praises the "Rousseauian democracy" of conservative web sites like www.freerepublic.com and www.lucianne.com I thought it might be fun to quote one example of the "alternative media that the right has championed." Summary Opinions reader B.P. recently drew my attention to this post by Free Republic founder Jim Robinson:
The Democrat Party is thoroughly corrupt. There is no question about that, but it's way beyond corrupt. It's also evil.
Waco was evil. The killing of innocent men, women, children and babies is evil. Torturing them for weeks on end, gassing them, and then burning them alive is pure evil. This was perpetrated by a corrupt and evil Democrat Administration and covered-up by corrupt and evil Democrat Congressmen and Senators, many of whom you are saying should be allowed to remain in office even today.
And as bad as that is, it pales in comparison to the Democrat government sanctioned and funded wholesale slaughter of the most innocent life of all, the murder of innocent human life in the womb. This is evil. Pure evil. And this evilness is openly perpetrated by a thoroughly corrupt and evil Democrat Party. The same corrupt and evil Democrat Congress and Judiciary whom you are now saying deserve to remain in office.
This is the founder of Free Republic. Mr. Shapiro is evidently proud that "[t]here are no major leftist commentary sites to compete with conservative monsters like Freerepublic.com and lucianne.com." Frankly, so am I.
here is another one
Can you tell the difference?
Via Atrios, I came across these two essays. One is a parody, the other is a genuine right-wing rant by Jim Robinson. What's fascinating is that it's nearly impossible to tell the difference. Here's a passage from each.
I can ask Mr. Gore this: Do you negotiate with monsters? Do you invite a pedophile over to have a beer and watch the game? Is there no level to which you won't stoop for personal and political gain?
There is no room for dissent in our society, particularly not from a one-time loser like Al Gore. I can just see the smug looks on the faces of the San Francisco politburo in that room where he gave his so-called speech. God, I can't restrain myself. Excuse me while I howl.
Al Gore! You sonofabitch! How dare you? How dare you? Why don't you move to Germany? You'd fit right in.
Why not just argue for freeing Danielle Van Dam's murderer while you're at it? Or for legalizing slavery? Oh, don't put anything past Al Gore. The man is sinister, I tell you. He hates liberty, he hates freedom, and he hates America.
The Democrat Party is beyond corrupt, It's also evil.
And what is this evil that triumphs when good men do nothing? What are we really talking about here and is it worth fighting for? Is it worth turning our heads and allowing evil to continue on while we do nothing? [...]
IMHO, allowing these Democrats to remain in power is aiding and abetting the corruption and treason, and is acting as an accessory before and after the fact to the murderers of innocent human life. Is doing nothing and allowing this evil to triumph evil itself?
I love my country. I love the Constitution. I love life. I love God. I know that the Democrats hate my country, hate the Constitution, hate God and hate human life.
Here's links to the full versions - the genuine item (including many approving responses - although one person does complain that "the brush is not quite broad enough") here on The Free Republic, and the parody on Neal Pollack's brilliant The Maelstrom..

I agree with the live threads and specific political events. I know when I first signed up I was capitivated by a thread (actually multiple threads) concerning the trial in Judge Sander Sauls courtroom. Have no idea how that rated in 2000, but it was a winner for me.
(In other words, I was hooked on FR!) LOL!

"AmI logged in?" deserves classic status, but it's from 2001.
Too old for this year's contest.
To: ken5050; Teacher317
The one thread that will be with me for a long time was the FReeper in AZ plaintively asking for help in indentifying the snake she had trapped under her bare foot under her computer desk. It turned out it was a small rattlesnake. Sorry I don't have a link but teacher317 was there.

"The Dose" - all time best thread, EVER!
The "A day in the life of President Bush," brought to us daily, by rintense, has the best posters, too! IMHO of course ;-)

Well ... I nominate any thread with the title of "A Day in the Life of President Bush". Most of us are deeply in debt to the author, rintense, who soothes our ruffled feathers each day with a glimpse of our adorable First couple.
I am html challenged - unable to post a link - but most everyone knows how to access "the Dose".
