You know, with Al Gore, a leading Democrat making fun of Lott and Lott's remarks, it only shows how trivial this is to begin with. Hell, if Democrats are making fun of Lott now, then why and the hell are Republicans forcing Lott out? Sheesh.

caltrop, For all our disagreements, as I know you dislike Gov Jeb -- and you know I don't -- I trust you are also LOL at my last post there. You get the writing credit on that one. :)

Re my post #302 - I should have said: "and you know I like him as governor"

I meant to ping you on the above post. Also, they can write a sketch where they find out, through polling, that the word "DEM" has a very high negative rating with voters, so, they decide to change the name of the party. Party leaders demand the new name also begin with a "D" so they choose a word with a much higher positive rating that "DEM" - and that word is: DISCO. SO, they become the "DISCO PARTY" and finally feel they have a shot at winning elections. Janet Reno gives them strategic advice because of her experiene campaiging in discos, and low and behold, they get all sorts of people out on the dance floor, but how to get these people into the voting booth remains a problem for the DISCO PARTY.

However, in a subsequent sketch, they do stumble upon a brilliant idea for stopping suicide bombers, and that is to open DISCOS all over the world and teach people how to DO THE HUSTLE. The terrorists hate this disco music and these dance lessons because one can not be both a disco dancer and a suicide bomber (the lethal belts fall off when you disco dance), and now, to the terrorists' chagrin, everyone wants to disco dance. So, we finally have an end to suicide bombers -- thanks to the DISCO PARTY.

Or, maybe they morph from the stumbling bumbling FL Dem Party into the Three Stooges or something. Curly, Larry and Moe become more popular with FL voters than any previous slate of candidates from the FL DISCO / DEM PARTY.

I have to confess I did stay up to watch the first 10 minutes. That smooch that went on forever was political suicide.....I can't imagine him running in 2004 after that!
BTW I think he'd prefer to be able to brag for the rest of his life: 'I got more popular votes' than to lose in a landslide in '04.
Perhaps he & Tipper will try to get a daytime tv show ala Jerry Springer.....called 'Joined at the Jaw'......and they can try for the Guinness Book of Records in prolonged kissing....LOL

Hi Julie! Yes, I too was thinking: Daytime Talk Show Host may be the job he really wants now, especially after that Willy Wonka sketch. And, I agree: The opening bit was HORRIBLE and went on for WAYYYY too long.

BTW, not that it matters to anyone here, but I would like to note, for the record, that I am NOT the one who wrote all the "KEYWORDS" appearing under my original post. Those keywords were added by various posters. I wrote AL GORE and 2004 and that's it. I don't care that anyone wrote those words, but, especially because I am a public school teacher, I would certainly never write such words -- and I did not want anything to think I did! :)
