The people throughout the country are eating dirt, yet the huge Omar mosque in Kandahar continues to be built.

These folks have a screwed up priority!

Islamabad

In Islamabad, Pakistan, Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan demand peace and democracy. If the USA had not FREED these women's sisters in Afghanistan, they would most likely be imprisoned or sold or their forthrightness.

The Afgan teacher standing in the door watching over her female students is very pretty. I read a few years ago that Kabul had some of the most beautiful women in the world. The Afgans in general are a pretty people, though warlike.

Your posts are always eye-opening, Diogenesis. They make me feel like a little kid again, excited to learn new things about the wide and wonderful world.

Does anyone know how women can tell each other apart when large groups of them are wearing burkhas? Are two burkhas dissimilar enough for someone to be able to distinguish between them?
