Democrats need to stop blaming themselves for the Republican victories in the 2002 election and start understanding the religious right.
Pat Robertson, founder of Christian Coalition wrote in his book "Millennium" in 1990, "with the apathy that exists today, a well organized minority can influence the selection of candidates to an astonishing degree." History has proven Robertson to be correct.

As I noted then, and note again:
Change "religious right" in this letter to Jew or Muslim and no self-respecting newspaper in America would print it, due to the hate filled bigoted bile being spewed therein.
Of course, we all know that in places controlled by liberals, be it the media or Ithaca, the only acceptable bigotry is bigotry against Christians.
I wouldn't be helping to establish any sort of equivalence among religious right, Jew, and Muslim.

I am constantly amazed at how they think and act like spoiled children who are afraid or incapable of growing up.
The driving passion of the religious right in the 2002 elections was judges. The courts have consistently served as a barrier to a movement attempting to impose its ideology on the rest of the country.
"Judges are the basis of the land's righteousness," he said. "We have a Senate election here in Texas. The only issue that should matter is judges."
IMPEACHING FEDERAL JUDGES:A COVENANTAL AND CONSTITUTIONAL RESPONSE TO JUDICIAL TYRANNY
The Bush administration has been nominating extreme ideologues such as Michael McConnel -- who opposes the separation of church and state -- to the courts.
FEDERALISM AND RELIGIOUS LIBERTY: WERE CHURCH AND STATE MEANT TO BE SEPARATE?
The "Religious Right" is a bogeyman to these people in exactly the same way as "Jews" were to the Nazis -- they're personally distasteful, responsible for all the problems in the world, and are viewed as being totally powerful.

"The Nazi Master Plan: The Persecution of the Christian Churches"
This screed has some interesting patholigies in it. For one thing, the only "threat" is from "right-wing religious". That's because the concept, and the words, "left wing" CANNOT be formed by the liberal mind. Liberalism is as natural as air, to them. Bill klinton helped define the democRAT party as the "non-political party". Everything the RATS do is non-partisan and cannot be opposed except by evil people, according to their thinking.
The writer conveniently rewrites history (RATS do a lot of that nowadays) by not telling us that the "religious right" is not a call for a Christian theocracy in America, but a call to Christians to participate in the secular functions of government, just like everyone else. A Christian's beliefs should influence his views on abortion, but foreign policy, economics, and SUVs should be decided by logic and common sense (which seems to have eluded RATS), and are accessible to anyone with half a brain.
Somehow, the fanatic Left gets copies of all the "secret documents and marching orders" of the Right, so they can expose all the nefarious thoughts and schemes of the Right. I'm sorta religious, and sorta right, and I've never even gotten an email inviting me to the local cabal. Conspiracy Central should check their distribution lists.
Well, get with the program then! Don't tell me that you've lost your secret decoder ring already!

Quit slackin' off. The VRWC has a busy schedule ahead and we need everybody who's signed up. I want you to round up every vicious criminal and gunslinger in the west. Take this down. I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, half-wits, dim-wits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, .. muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thiefs, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers, and Methodists!
ROTFLMAO. Ping the humour list.
On a serious note the religious right is a good servant but a bad master.
I must disagree. In places like Ithaca, bigotry against whites, males, and achievement oriented mentality are also perfectly acceptable.
I'm not sure you know what you are talking about.
