This months Dutch police detained a muslims who planned suicide attacks abroad. I guess this is what this Sheikh is talking about.

No need to be so spectacular. Why is it that this kind of man is not found floating in the river with a .22 caliber hole in his head? I expect capitulation and cowardice from France, Belgium and the other assortment of Apologists-For-Arab-Terror EU nations. I have been disappointed by the backslide of Scandinavian countries into a position of soft-pedaling the threat from Islamist expansion.

The actions taken with in their own borders demonstrate courage, however, the hypocrisy of their constant harping and criticisms directed toward Israel and the U.S. demonstrate a new low in diplomatic double-talk between Scandinavia and the U.S.

Sounds good to me. The policing agencies and the military can't do it all. But the entire society has become way to accustomed to having the government take care of "everything," that some very prudent steps — like reviving Letters of Marque and the old civil defense network — just are not even being considered.

The common defense of the cowardly is to insist that the violent are in the right, and that if one only gives them what they rightfully want they'll stop being violent. That is a convenient out for many Europeans who are content to ascribe the violence to U.S. policies toward Israel; speak out against the U.S., goes the argument, (there is, after all, no penalty for doing so), and you will be spared.

Well, the mask's off. Moslem radicals will resort to threats of violence because up to now those threats have been successful. And their demands aren't restricted to policies on Israel or Iraq; they subsume everything that the radicals consider in their interest. And their victims aren't restricted to Israelis and Americans - they never really were, but it was a convenient and comforting fiction. No more.

Bush wasn't being threatening when he stated "you're either with us or against us," he was stating a sad fact. U.S. bombers aren't targeting the cities of the uncooperative governments, Moslem bombers are.
