The forgotten front of Algeria. Good for them.
A country devastated by the bloodlust of the jihadis.

Re:
Algerias military is fighting a ten year insurgency by Islamic militants, which has claimed more than 120,000 lives. Raids by soldiers on suspected militant hideouts are common. Wha ?! I'm shocked ? How can this be ? How is that every country is along islams perifery has a problem with jihadsits slaughtering inosent people?

JENIN, West Bank - Abu Mohammed, the military head of Islamic Jihad in this bombed-out Palestinian town, looks as if he's just rushed in from battle. His freshly bandaged hand is oozing blood and he can barely contain his hulking frame and nervous energy in the cheap plastic chair perched near the doorway of a house.
He will not say where he has been or explain how he was wounded. The Israelis would like to capture or kill Abu Mohammed, who commands one of the most dangerous Palestinian groups in one of the most dangerous Palestinian cities.
Right now, he is surrounded by a small squadron of teenage boys -- his acolytes. They are fresh-faced but intense, wearing faded jeans and Adidas sneakers.
Abu Mohammed, a man in his mid- to late 40s, will teach the boys to fire an M-16 rifle. A select few will learn how to strap grenades to their bodies and summon the will to walk into a place crowded with Israelis and blow themselves up in the quest to become martyrs.

This must be a mistake. There is no progress being made in the "war on terror".
Nothing to see here... move along.

Jumping Dead Yemini al Qaeda thugs!
The good news continues.
I doubt if that there are more than a few hundred key al Qaeda goat humping thugs left to kill.
So everyone that bites the dust is a big loss to their command structure.
It has taken them years to build up networks in their home countries and in countries where they flee like cowards in their wives burkas. So when one of these key al Qaeda thugs is killed, their cells and nets may just collapse without them.

That would explain the help wanted ad I saw in yesterday's paper - evidently they're running short of virgins in hell...

Algeria was one of the first countries to be nearly over run with islamic fundamentalists. They have sufferred immensely for many years.
BTW, please don't let Daschle know about this killing, he'll be sooo disappointed.

"Emad Abdelwahid Ahmed Alwan," alias "Abu Mohammed"
Does it really matter? They all sound alike anyway.

This part deserves repeating:"Algerias military is fighting a ten year insurgency by Islamic militants, which has claimed more than 120,000 lives. Raids by soldiers on suspected militant hideouts are common."

Does anyone recall the French response to the islamotrash uprising in Algiers many years ago?
