As I understand it, wooden puppets are boycotting it 'cause of the waste of trees...

I'm not surprised.
Both books are too high priced for their value as toilet paper.

Al needs to pull a Jim Wright maneuver: personally purchase about 100,000 copies, and distribute them at Democrat meetings...
To: jimbo123
Do you suppose they'll take the hint? I doubt it too! What part of "GO AWAY" do you think al and tip don't understand?

Instant remainder bin material...
I bet those publishers for Hitlery and Bubba are just a tad nervous being out a total of $18 million in advances....
Can't wait for Tom Daschle and other Demo notables to try their hand... They'll be as popular as liberal talk radio personalities (like Mario Cuomo and Jim Hightower).

So how do these rankings translate into actual numbers of books sold? I'd like to know how many were printed and how many were actually sold.

Since the DU'ers were made to pony up to enter the website, they have no money left over from their welfare checks to buy this claptrap.
Who else is going to read Al's and Tipper's stupidity?

But you just don't understand: Algore is ENTITLED to be the POTUS! By virtue of his brain, heart, and courage, he was destined to rule over us Munchkins. < /sarcasm>

Both books are too high priced for their value as toilet paper. And probably not all that soft, strong, or thoroughly absorbent either. ;)

Publishers are taking a huge risk in undertaking to publish a Democrat's work.
It's common knowledge that most of the Democrat's base supporters are illiterate.
More pictures, less text. That's the ticket.
Scratch and sniff may work too.

I saw those books prominently displayed in Barnes & Noble and B. Dalton and wondered, "Who is going to buy those?" Two Gore books on the market at the same time is two too many. And it also seems like a marketing screw up, because the books are competing against each other for a small market of potential buyers.

OTOH, being in 1,126th place would put the book in the top one-tenth of one per cent of all titles sold on Amazon.

"I bet those publishers for Hitlery and Bubba are just a tad nervous being out a total of $18 million in advances...."
You got that right!
Bill's book actually could be an enormous seller, if it was written as a lurid tell-all confessional. Can you imagine how huge the sales would be if he gave an account of all his extra-marital dalliances and various other high crimes & misdemeanors? Anyone who ever bought a Jackie Collins novel would be all over it.
It'll never happen of course. You can bet that his book will be a lot of puffery about all he supposedly accomplished and how anything that went wrong from 1993 to 2001 was the fault of those mean Republicans. Hillary's will be even more boring- a self-hagography shaping the image she want to take into her presidential run. Both of them will have to come with a bottle of No-Doz.

Did they put Earth in the Balance next to them? I am going to mall this weekend to check out the placement.

The corporations that paid billandhill for their memoirs don't care if the books never ever sell. They were bribes for legiglative consideration and nothing more.
The real problem is that the dems are in the minority and the millions of dollars paid will bring no further extra consideration.

Your post reminds me of my favorite public restroom wall graffiti of all time:
"This toilet paper is like John Wayne: Rough, tough and takes #$%! off of nobody!"
