Yeah, Reagan was a dummy, too. And look what he accomplished:
- "The former Soviet Union" -- 4 of the sweetest words in the English language.
- The end of the New Deal, the Great Society -- and liberalism as a viable ideology.
- The end of two decades of inflation and a decade-and-a-half bear market in stocks.
- A political realigment that is still going on today, spelling the eventual splintering of the Democratic Party.
We could all use a few dummies like that.
