Tell me, what does this image say to you? Study it closely and try to take in as many details as you possibly can. Does it "speak?"
Honest opinions, please. If this can be understood or defined by just looking at it, I have some uses for it for the '04 campaign.
Comments/suggestion?

To me, it shows an angry black man breaking the shackles of slavery. As to your use of it, I would guess it is for a message that the time has come for black voters to break away from the Rat plantation and poverty pimps. Go for it, good sir...

Definitely aimed to push hot buttons. This man is not just being freed, he is breaking his own chains. Unclear what is going on with the back arm; are those flames? Needs better definition in that area.

It appears to be a black man breaking his chains of bondage to the plantation the Democrats are keeping him in. His anger must reflect the fact that he is just realizing for the first time that he and his fellow Blacks have been used by the party for many years.

Well, I see a dude that looks a bit like Arnold Schwarzenegger who does not look happy. He looks angry.
I can't tell if the hand in the air is attached to him or if the hand in the broken chains belongs to someone else and is flying through the air.
There seems to be a sort of flag on the palm of the chained hand in the air.
The hand with the broken chains looks like it is either supposed to be holding up something like a waiter, or has the palm outstretched waiting for a handout.

Is the hand in the air attached to the guy below it?

I see a black man ignoring the call for help from the drowning Rat who has kept him in shackles all of this time.
Instead he punches the hand away and lets the Rat drown, therefore ending the hold the Rats have had on the black man.

It could be a black guy. Or maybe it could be a white guy depending on whether the artist made an aggressive use of shading in the drawing.

In addition to breaking his binding he seems to be emerging from a fog.

What is he holding in the palm of his hand?

Is that Abraham Lincoln I see there? Are there flags on this picture? Like maybe some kind of communist symbol or something?
You're right, the more you look at it, the more you see!

Heavy duty negative image. I'd be very careful using it to try to sell anything, as it will turn off more people than it will turn on. IMO.
What does he have in his upraised hand? Whatever it is, I don't want any.

I'm also not sure if both arms belong to the same person. There's no iron cuff on the lower wrist.

I see a man who gave his right arm for freedom.

He is strong and determined, so he has broken his chains thru his will and strength ... he is moving away from the subject of his ire ... he seems dismissive of the former captors, more ready to move on than to fight back. His power comes from above him, and his direction is towards a goal he is ready to fight for.
Either that, or he just busted out of the county lock-up, and he is hoping to get far away before they notice ...

It looks like standard 1930-1950 Soviet propaganda art -- muscular worker breaking the chains of capitalist oppression.
