I just watched the tour of the Oval Office. It was very interesting and the President had a lot of hhistorical references and explanations of the furniture and paintings. I will go back later and see all the other rooms. THANKS!

Fantastic!
Thanks for the *ping,* Molly!
I've only watched the Oval Office tour so far but two things really stood out to me .....
..... President Bush said that he liked having the pictures of his family on the table behind his desk because it's important to have your family behind you in spirit! ... (that's a very loose paraphrase).
..... also I liked the comments he made about the artist who had lived on the East side of the mountains because he liked to see the day ahead of him .... the President said liked to see the good that is ahead for America, to see the bright things that lie ahead rather than looking to the past ...... (another loose paraphrase).
The whole tour is just wonderful!!!

I had no idea that the swimming pool in the press briefing room still existed. (not filled, of course.)

Yes, I first heard about this in Bill Sammon's book "Fighting Back". He talks about the swimming pool, which is now literally "filled" with audio and video cables of every sort!

Is that why we hear talk about the "press pool" and the "pool reporters"? ...... ;-)

Wow! VERY interesting. I just watched the Prez, the Veep, the First Lady, Ari and Lynne. Love Ari's remark about the deep end of the pool and the shallow end. Hehe!

Anyone know what one can use to open a smil? Microsoft suggested RealPlayer, but I'm not letting anything from RealNetworks on my machine.
