In a sense, with liberal activists feeling hurt and rejected by this corrupt and fallen world, "The West Wing" offers the chance to escape to a soothing, reassuring alternate reality. You know how rotten and unfeeling America is? Every parking lot and public building has wheelchair-accessible parking and ramp access. Women and minorities get more respect and real job opportunity in America than in any other society on earth. Why the hay seeds in Sioux City have the doug stephan show on radio is beyond me.
