Truly a sad upbringing but nothing like what they did to their victims. No sympathy from me at all to these 2 rabid dogs. Sadly the media does not cover the details of the actual crimes as told in detail by the surviving victim as we have read. My total empathy goes to her and the families of the dead killed by these 2 bastards.

Excuses excuses excuses.
But all these excuses beg the question. What about the fact that the vast majority of people who have bad childhoods DON'T commit these crimes? Answer that one you d***ed psychobabblers.

Am I the only mean-spirited person who could not possibly care less about any psychobabble justifications for these animals?
I, and I am sure many of you, know people who had horrible families and childhoods, who went on to live decent productive lives.
There is such a thing as someone who is just plain "NFG".
A rope is reusable.

As if this EXPLAINS why they committed their sick crimes! They should reinstate hanging in Kansas, and give these two the noose!

Excuses, excuses.
Lots of folks come from shitty backgrounds.
They don't go out and kill people, though.

No, you are not the last. I fully intend to make a pilgramage to their grave sites and piss on each one.
I may do it in the snow and sign my name. These two are mutants, vermin, scum and deserve to be publicly executed
following weeks of slow torture. If they're looking for someone to handle the dull, rusty razor, I'm available!

Nope.

I
DON'T
CARE!
"Why" isn't important. In fact, it is our ability to suppress our murderous impulses that defines our civilization, and to a large degree, our humanity. Therefore, the INability to control those impulses excludes the defective from the family of humanity. Whatever the Carrs are, it isn't human, so we need feel no more compassion for them than we would feel for a pair of rabid skunks.

Well, even if they had a bad childhood, it doesn't justify hurting others, and they need to be removed from society to prevent them from doing it again.
Not that it's going to happen, but a lot of children would be better off being raised in foundling homes than by their parents.

If the brothers had taken their abusive family members out onto that football field then the story might be pertinent. Their victims were innocent strangers so the story is irrelevant to everyone but the sob sisters.

If I had only volunteered reparations sooner.

I'll have as much sympathy for the Carr's deaths by execution as I had for Smith and Hickock the two "In Cold Blood" killers. I read the book and saw the movie. The movie tried to take a sympathetic look at the killers, and it took an anti-death penalty stance. Myself I couldn't wait until they dropped those two b*stads through the trap door. I only wish the Carr's demises will be as painful.

The scary fact of reality is that there are many more such peolple living on the fringe of society. They hate therefore they take. The robbing was run of the mill everyday activity for such people. The animalistic rape is at the root of their hate, hours of such rape is just a physical way to take away something other than personal possessions. The high of murdering was nothing compared to what they had already savored.
