Saundra, I too cannot believe that Gray Davis won. It just smells to high heaven. I firmly believe there was fraud in that election. Like paying $50.00 to homeless people and God only knows what else. He's a bonefide criminal and I think that's been proven over and over. California is gonna pay a bigger price than it already has for this and I really feel for the Conservatives there. Now you know how it feels to be a Conservative Western Canadian. YUK.

To repeat my comments in another thread: I feel the pendulum starting to swing the other way. It has swung far to the left, reached its climax.

When a pendulum changes directions, first it hovers then slowly starts moving in the opposite direction, eventually speeding up as it gains momentum to swing in the opposite direction.

The GOP gained two assembly seats, lost no senate, Davis' victory was pyrrhic victory, ... If Nancy Pelosy (?) becomes Minority Leader, she may go down in flames like Dick Gebhart,...

So we are hovering and slowly staring to swing to the right. We need to keep the momentum going!!!

The only reason I have doubts is I doubt we have fair elections in California. Living in Long Beach I saw how our Mayor made an end run around the term limits law and got reelected as a write in. The woman has spent untold tax dollars on the downtown area and ignored the rest of the city and yet she still won against a very good candidate.
