You just had to attend Bill McBride's rally for Hispanics in Broward County this week to see what is happening to his campaign.
There were maybe two dozen discouraged McBride supporters inside a Southwest Ranches restaurant -- and a flood of Bush supporters waving signs outside.
Even in this Democratic stronghold, McBride has trouble.
The panic among Democratic insiders is so thick you can cut it with a knife. They see victory slipping away ... not only in the governor's race, but everywhere.
Democrats are working overtime to make sure McBride's sinking campaign doesn't drag down the whole ticket.

Please let me know if you want on or off my "'til election day" Fla. ping list.
The good and decent people who remain in the party deserve no less.
The Party needs to throw out the corrupt leadership, and purge itself of the lunatic extremist groups, and that's not going to happen until both the leadership and the extremist rhetoric are both completely discredited.
And only an overwhelming defeat will do that.
The Mason Dixon poll released Wednesday had Bush leading McBride, 51 percent to 43 percent. That's the same percentage Bush had over Lt. Gov. Buddy McKay, the Democratic nominee, four years ago on the same date. We all know what happened to Buddy McKay.
What happened to McKay (other than that he lost--was it a landslide ?)

The Broward Democratic Party's widely distributed invitation to its big pre-election rally on Sunday states that School Board candidate Marty Rubinstein will speak. Not mentioned anywhere is Rubinstein's District 6 opponent, Phyllis Hope. Hope is one of the few black candidates on the ballot. She is being snubbed at the same time Democrats are engaged in a frantic effort to get black votes next week.
This is at least the fourth instance I've heard of Dems openly "snubbing" blacks within the party (Terry McCulliffe's appointment over ???, taking money from McCall's campaign in NY and pumping it into FL, refusing to consider Alan Page in MN, and now this)-- yet the Dems continue to get over 80% (maybe even 90%) of the black vote -- mind-boggling !!
Also--for any who read the quotes from Bill Clinton's speech last night (I think) -- there were some subtle racist comments in it, yet no one in the media seemes to pick it up *SIGH*
Quote...
I remember literacy tests most whites in the South couldn't have passed," he said. "I remember us and them.
Implying that if a white can't pass the test--a black person would have NO chance ???

It is a race in which blacks are considered to be the deciding factor, and Mr. Clinton warned against politicians who would divide the people into "us" and "them." He recalled a time, growing up in the South, when blacks were herded on the back of trucks by "beady-eyed white guys."
Warns about being divisive...and then makes the "beady-eyed white guys "herding" blacks" statement -- unfrickin'- believable !
Clinton spelled the demise of a once strong party. I hate the Clintons, their corrupt friends and everything the 'New DemonRATS' stand for today.
They are like the National Socialists in Germany in the 1930's ..... crooks, thugs, bribe takers, racists, gays and gay promoters, traitors and worse.
It's going to be very interesting to watch this vote.
I did hear a Democrat on Hugh Hewitt's show last night admit that Jeb Bush was going to win, but from the Florida papers? It would be surprising to see them tear down McBride - they worked so hard to create him this year. (^:
Amen....the press, as well. I don't know how, but our newsmedia's overdue for a 'spanking'.
Who's Buddy McKay?! Exactly...MUD
Just desserts for this entire sleazy crowd.
The left has inflamed racial divisions with such hateful rhetoric over the last few years that the black militants and their leaders are becoming caricatures to all but the most jaded party members.
McBride and the DNC are up against Jeb's real record of achivement in the minority community:

Jeb's One Florida program is a winner for minorities [The Tampa Tribune's editors praise Jeb]
