Please read the entire editorial. It's a fine pre-election kick-in-the-clymer for the DNC leadership. (^:

Speaking as someone who remembers when there were good and decent people in the Democratic leadership, I think it is essential that the Democratic Party be slapped down
hard.
The good and decent people who remain in the party deserve no less.
The Party needs to throw out the corrupt leadership, and purge itself of the lunatic extremist groups, and that's not going to happen until both the leadership and the extremist rhetoric are both completely discredited.
And only an overwhelming defeat will do that.

Bump for Jeb Bush, an outstanding governor! Today in Florida, it's Bush vs. Clinton. I'm sure the press will report on the adoration of the blacks for billy-boy and snub the President's appearances. Hope I'm wrong...we shall see.

GREAT editorial. Sounds like the dems are in complete disarray. Love that this is happening in Florida.
It's going to be very interesting to watch this vote.

"McBride still needs to ensure a big turnout from his base and that's why he's bringing in Clinton," said Stephen Craig, director of the graduate program in political campaigning at the University of Florida. Just two weeks ago, campaign insiders say, McBride rejected a suggestion that Clinton come to Florida. That's because a visit from the highly controversial ex-president can turn off as many voters as it turns on. Then McBride read the polls. He is clearly stalled or fading fast, depending on which poll you read. The Mason Dixon poll released Wednesday had Bush leading McBride, 51 percent to 43 percent. That's the same percentage Bush had over Lt. Gov. Buddy McKay, the Democratic nominee, four years ago on the same date. We all know what happened to Buddy McKay." Who's Buddy McKay?! Exactly...MUD

Ah, this article warms my heart. I truly thought McB might pull it off. Looks like he's toast.
Btw Ragtime, you do great work. Thank you!

Great column, but it's not an editorial. Buddy Nevins is the only writer on the Sun-Sentinel that tells it like it is -- on both sides of the aisle. If he says it's bad, it's bad.
The socialist Sun-Sentinel, however, which has done nothing but bash both Bushes since their elections, themselves had to eat crow and endorse Bush for Governor in Sunday's editorial page -- an even better indication of how bad it is.
