Hey. that's pretty cheap compared to NYC. Let's double the tax. Less than 10% will quit. These stupid smokers are addicted. They are slaves to cigarettes and can be taxed two or three times more than currently and not miss a puff. Why haven't the politicians already raised taxes on these losers? If smokers voluntarily wish to continue to purchase a legal prodict without any coercion from the state, why not increase the tax until the gross receipts level out? That would be the break even point. It smokers resist the tax, they are free to try to elect representatives that will try to do such. If smokers are willing to pay for a non essential product, in spite of the tax, lets increase per pack cost until the gross levels out. Easy-peasy!

Most of us buy from Reservations, the Internet or roll our own to avoid paying into the state coffers. And MORE are finding out about the "gold mine."

and

Smokers United

Over a year ago, we were paying $44-$50 for a CARTON! Now, with roll your own, we pay under $8.00!!!!! Can't beat that with a stick! heh!
