Morris mentioned some story about the Bush approval ratings going down becasue he is spending so much time campaigning and not looking like he is "above it all". Even if it is true, it is high time Bush spend some political capital. He energizes the base everywhere he goes, and we need him out there.

Exactly...I wish the President would publicly slap the sh*t out of the French, but I have no criticism what so ever of his campaigning. He needs to be out there everyday between now and election day...his Presidency is on the line and it's not too melodramatic to say that if the dim's keep the Senate he could be a lame duck for the next two years. He gives candiates a 2-5% bump in the polls everywhere he goes...I'd be VERY suspicious of any polls that show his numbers slipping. And even if they are...so what?

Didn't Bush call somebody an asshole during the campaign a few years ago?

Yep. NO complaints from Freepers about that. Let's look at the record:

1. What has Bush done about Hillary's verbal attacks, including the one where se said he was "selected," not "elected"?

2. What has Bush done about Saudi Arabia? he has bent over backwards to appease them, even though they continually spit in our faces

3. What has Bush done about standing up to Mexico, and Vincente Fox?

4. What has he done about illegal immigration?

5. What did he do when the news came out regarding the State Dept.'s $10,000-$15,000 RAISE for those responsible for giving Mohammed Atta and others student visas?

6. Islam is a "peaceful" religion...then he gives Mohammed Siddiq (a "peaceful" muslim cleric caught by Fox News a year earlier chanting "Death to America!" in the streets) top billing in his 9/11 memorial service.

7. Has he really fought for his judicial nominies?

8. Did he really campaign for Gubernatorial and Congressional candidates as well as he should have?

9. France? China? The UN? Daschle? the Education bill. the FBI/Kennedy incident...

Morris is RIGHT. It may have been out of place to say that, but he is FRUSTRATED, like a lot of us are. I'm glad he said what he said. Hopefully it will light a fire under the aSSes of some important people in the administration. I doubt it. It will probably mean the blacklisting of Morris.

Yea, like there is a reason that Morris twist his mouth around like he does when he speaks.

Actually it was candidate George W. Bush who called Clymer an a******. Cheney agreed and said, "Big time!".

The press threw a hissy fit about that comment.

Governor Bush appoligized that his comment went out over a "hot" microphone but he did not retract the comment itself.

Dick has to pay for it to get it, but he can say the word for free.

Yes OReilly, it was the 10/27 Gallup Poll covering 10/21-22. But the CNN and Fox polls for 10/22-24 show it down to 60% and 61%. But look at the trends and it's not a major deal.

I don't buy the Morris idea that it's Bush's campaigning.

Your $.02 is worth about a million dollars.

We don't need any representative of a news show referring to the President of the United States as a p_ssy. I don't care WHICH party....or WHICH news show....or WHICH network.

Good post, dpa.

"I think Morris was dead on. Time for W. to get back some of that day of 9-11 fire under his ass. Until he tells the UN to screw off..we are pandering."

Thankyou MFH. I agree. He's been pandering to the globalists on too many issues, it's time to fish or cut bait. I said two months ago, that he'd better get with the program and stop the dithering or he'd lose the support of the American public. It's coming true...the poll ratings prove it. We're tired of the rhetoric.

MOST find the use of a derogatory term, for a part of the female anatamy, vulgar. Those that don't, should. The use of a derogatory term for a part of the MALE anatomy is certainly frowned upon ....and would NEVER be heard from the representative of a news organization on air.

"I agree 100%, I like Morris hes always got good inside information about what went on inside the Clinton administration, he never says anything nice about Hillary so he cant be that bad."

Morris is an astute analyst. He's seldom wrong, unlike most of the pundits.

I think Morris just gave Bush some good advise.

I do too; he said because Bush was going around campaigning for everybody, the numbers have dropped for him because he is no longer "looking presidential," he is looking like "a politican." He is taking the focus away from his claim of concern about Iraq by traveling around the country, making it seem like everything's okay....so people are going to be thinking, "well, this situation with Iraq must not be as serious as Bush is saying, so we'll just start focusing on domestic issues." Then when Morris mentioned the pandering to France stuff, I think that he was saying the combination of the two are hurting him....and then Morris said the "p" word. (Now don't flame me rintense, I'm not saying I approve of him saying that, but I bet that this will get Bush's attention!)

"Just yesterday Dubya said that if the UN didn't get their act together, we'd be taking care of business in Iraq with our own coalition. Don't you think that's sufficiently tough?"

No. He's been saying that for months.

I suppose that means that the FR word for "pussy" will now be "morris"

Yeah....I don't think "Dick" would work.

Good post. As you stated, the fact of the matter is that the President has been acting like a pu*** for quite some time now. When you waffle on issues and continually cave to your opponents, then you are a pu*** or whatever other word ya want to use to describe somebody that won't stick to his guns.

I had high hopes for Bush when he was elected. I thought we finally had a Washington outsider there to defend middle America and the Constitution-loving people who live there. Unfortunately he's turned out to be no different than noodle-spined Repubs like Trent Lott.

Why do you think his approval numbers are continually dipping? I'll tell you why...it's because people are starting to catch on to his gig. They're starting to realize that he's not a man of his word. He goes whichever way the polls dictate he goes.

Keep holding his feet to the flames. He needs it.

Yeah, this war on terror certainly seems to be grinding to a halt. Does Bush and the beltway think we have forgotten? It's been over a year now.
