I tend to think that professional educators have TOO much power, so I would opt to vote AGAINST any of them, and FOR any non-educator.

Beyond that, I would of course look at their positions on issues. The problem is all candidates use political double-talk.

For example, try to get a straight answer about bilingual education, compliance with voter passed initiative, etc.

Before I accept your endorsement, I will need to hear WHY these are good candidates. Isn't Castrey a liberal?

Dear fellow Conservative , the fact of the matter is that not all conservatives are good people , and some have their ' PEDESTAL ' politics in mind , not the best interests of the needs of people.

Take for example Mattew Harper , who is on the Huntington Beach Union High school board .

The High school board took a vote in January 2002 whether or not to support the City elementary school bond. He voted against the bond 4 -1 .The school bond passed any way . There are a majority of Republicans in Huntington Beach , right ? .

High school bond vote - Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher decided not to oppose or endorse it . Calif . Assemblyman Republican Scott Baugh supported it .It did not pass . Republican High School board member Matt Harper opposed it . WIERD FACT : Matthew Harper has NEVER voted for a school budget in all four years as a board member . That is WEIRD and WRONG . When the vote came for the High school bond , the voters voted agaist it , thereby putting Huntington Beach schools at a severe disadvantage behind other schools in the State ; this because : The State $ 9 billion dollar bond that passed that year requires that Citties pass a school bond in order to qualify for any money from the $ 9 billion state bond . Huntington Beach is shut out of that money . Republican Assemblyman Scott Baugh pushed for that $ 9 billion State school bond , and it passed . Now whether or not you were for or against the High school bond and/ or the $ 9 billion State school bond , take a look at the whole picture here .

In addition , as a Huntington Beach Union High School board member ,Matthew Harper has lied in court for his friend ( former Anaheim Union High school board member )Alexandria Coronado.

I reply asking you to support your first posted message. I mention Castrey.

You reply some jibberish about Matt Harper. No mention of Garland or Castrey. I think I'll just do my own research, and decide for myself. Thanks anyway.

I will return to my first point. I think educators have TOO MUCH control. I will usually oppose them, unless somebody shows good reasons for supporting a particular person.
