Hey gang, Crossfire is doing a segment on ballistic fingerprinting. My wife (Bubbles) has been asked to interject questions regarding this during the program. She intends on ripping them a new one. Watch it if you can. it will be on CNN at 7:00PM est tonight.

How is "ballistic fingerprinting" anything other than a backdoor registration of all gun-owners (ala Musolini, NAZIs, Stalin, et al), and why is it OK for liberals to want to "fingerprint" gunowners but not OK for them to require fingerprints for voter ids or abortions?

Will she ask a question from the audience? If so, are all the questions screened hours before the broadcast?

with a 50 cent nail file the entire multimillion dollar system becomes useless.

On Fox and Friends this morning they had a guy on talking about how great fingerprinting would be, and contrary to what gun rights groups think, it is NOT a registration list or backdoor way to registration. The Fox and Friends hosts didnt challenge him on this and I was disappointed.
All they had to do was ask, "well, if they are going to fingerprint the balistics, to tie them to a gun, then to tie the gun to its owner for questioning wouldnt that be infact a registration list of gun owners?"

Mark Furman said as much to Alan Colmes last night and Alan responded "Yes, but if it saves a life or two, isn't it worth it?" - I almost fell out of the chair.

Fingerprints for abortions? That has to be one of the silliest non-sequitors I have ever seen. Think someone will be getting an abortion for someone else? LoL.

"Fingerprints for abortions? That has to be one of the silliest non-sequitors I have ever seen." Why? Based upon "when" you think life starts, it's just the same style of identifying and tracking potential murderers.

Yep, that was her! I'm glad she got the info out on the fallacy of ballistic fingerprinting.

In the future never miss an opportunity to point out what happened with the gun used to "kill Martin Luther King, Jr." It was fired 17 or 18 times and it NEVER could be matched to the bullet and NONE of the bullets fired could be matched to EACH OTHER.

Do you by chance have a link to information on that? I've been looking for such material for a while.
