President Bush hosted a conference on minority homeownership at George Washington University today, where he discussed public and private sector efforts to address the homeownership gap and increase the number of minority homeowners in America. Bush began his day with an FBI briefing and later met with his National Security Council. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks for the thread, Rintense. Just the photo of the little one wrapping her arms around our President's neck so tightly, as he is bent down to hug her back, is worth waiting for this darn machine to hook into the internet. I love that shot-it warms me from head to toe! How I wish this photo would make the major newspapers-there would be smiles across our nation. Something we all need.
Wait4Truth-hey baby-you said:
We need God's hand in this election, just like we did in 2000.
and I sure stand with ya on that one. I think a bunch of us are praying every day for God's hand to sweep over the elections, lifting up those who truly love Him and cutting down fraudulent activity. Big time!

I am sick of sniper news. Hi, Miss Marple, I am sick of sniper news too. I'm really sick of it - my daughter who lives in Alexandria VA called me at work today (3:00 our time here on the Left Coast, 6:00 back on the East Coast). She was on her way to her accounting class tonight in Falls Church, and she was scared. We stayed on the phone until she was safely in the building. She also called when she was on her way home and I kept her on the line until she was safely in the house.
She's got three young children - her husband is stationed at the Pentagon and was there on that terrible day. That was bad enough, but now to have to suffer through this. She's been through earthquakes and typhoons on Guam and was never fazed, but this has really thrown her. Consequently it's thrown me. All I can do is pray that this madman is caught soon.
I'm sorry to be in such a funk - this is the thread I come to for joy and inspiration, but tonight I only feel anxiety and fear for my loved ones and all of the innocents who are living in fear in the DC area, and grief for those innocents who were slain and for their families.

Don't thank me .... thank rintense. She found most of those little guys and posted them for us to use. I put them where I can get to them in a hurry ...... and everyone is welcome to them and anything else they find there.

She likes this style of necklace. I'm not sure they're the exact same one, but they sure look a lot alike.

Good evening, all!
this is the thread I come to for joy and inspiration, but tonight I only feel anxiety and fear for my loved ones and all of the innocents who are living in fear in the DC area, and grief for those innocents who were slain and for their families.
I think you summed up how we all feel. The only comfort I can offer you is that your daughter, her family and neighbors are the subject of much powerful prayer. We used to live in Fairfax and I've talked to a few friends this week -- it breaks my heart to listen to their fears.

Can you tell me where you get these kinds of adorable little things? Can you also tell me how to use them? I have been dying to have some for months and months!

I find it hard to believe that our Lord will not help our God-loving President in his time of need. I just can't imagine it. God bless!

I've found them on various message boards, but here's a good link for a lot of them:

The, just right click and copy the source- just like you'd do when posting a photo.

I never worry about him. He has Laura to make sure he gets his rest. She'll take good care of him. No need to worry.

McLynnan, thank you so much for your thoughts. I know that the entire country is horrified by what's going on. You're in Texas, I'm in California, Miss Marple in Indiana, Howlin in Carolina, and our dear rintense who is everywhere - we Freepers are everywhere, and I know that many of us have loved ones and friends in the DC area.
We can only hope that our prayers are being heard and that this evil will stop before another innocent man, woman, or child is murdered by this evil one or ones.
To: Kath
Your right. God is with him as well.
To: Inspectorette
Inspectorette, if it's any help, I've had two kids whose jobs demanded that they travel all over the U.S. One has been in 48 states. For years, there was hardly a time when I'd read of a hurricane, tornado, flood or earthquake, and not have one of my children in the area of the upheaval. I know what you're going through. They both survived. The odds are definitely with you. And my prayers are definitely with you.

The sniper coverage is constant. It is horrible what is happening over there. It has pretty much knocked Irag off the news for now. The only good thing about it is that is keeping the media from covering the election and helping the democrats with their bias coverage. I hope they get these people soon before anyone else is murdered.

Oh, I am so sorry that you have to worry...and I understand why you would...our daughter lives alone in an apartment near her school and there was a rapist on the loose. We were so worried until he was caught..I can only imagine your fear for your daugher!
The only thing I can say is that it is obvious that the President has directed the full force of federal assistance on this situation, and I am sure that they will catch these evildoers soon.
I have been praying for everyone in the DC area.
