Sean Hannity is breaking news from his affiliate WMAL. The task force investigating the sniper shootings is searching a residence in Baltimore. Apparently, a white van has been impounded, an AR-15 has been found in the residence, and a man is being questioned by the FBI. The FBI is saying that he is "not a suspect."

Sorry can't link - breaking page of FR - title "White Box Truck," etc. posted by enthanation. Article says radios and message found taped to window of van. Another thread has a Freeper reporting what MSNBC is reporting re what the message says.

An expert just stated to Abrams he is surprised the rifle is eliminated already, too.
Abrams says no tarot card found in home. (Was it found in vehicle?)
Other authorities state no connection still.
Seems they can't link him but these other circumstances seem to be so much of a coincidence they want to continue investigating to make sure.

This whole thing is a set up, I tell ya. This is WAAAAAY too convenient. The shooter showed more competence than this. RED HERRING.

Well, Shep is on, so we'll see what he says.

In many jurisdictions, 'suspect' is a legal term that they are very hesitant to apply because they are afraid of ruining the case, getting sued for defamation, etc.
For example, in the Daniele Van Dam case, they initailly wouldn't call Westerfield or anyone else a suspect because without a body (living or dead), they didn't have absolute proof that a crime (or what type of crime) had been committed. If they had called him a suspect, he could have used that to claim that the public (i.e. jury pool) was tainted before any proof of a crime, his character was defamed, etc.
Obviously in this case a crime has been committed, but to be careful they're probably not going to call anyone a suspect until they've got a lot of evidence.

One of the Oregon gang was in OUR military and don't forget the sabotage of the parachutes about Sept 21st at Camp Lajeune I think.

Potomac mills is getting kind of seedy.
Agreed. Leesburg Corner Outlets is worth the trip, though. Smaller, but better selection.

I'm presuming that is the "jihad in America" sign, on white cardstock, taped on the window. Which somehow got distorted into tarot cards, and then a message on tarot cards

The woman has been arrested. Woman has fight with boyfriend. Woman shoots boyfriend. Police come to arrest woman. Woman says, "But officer, I HAD to shoot him. He's the sniper! Look at his van."
Maybe?

So how do they know already that it is not the right rifle? Is AR-15 chambered for different calibers and that doesn't match? - Or can they tell right away like that?
So he is either innocent but screwed because of the other stuff in the van... or guilty and has more than one rifle. Which way will the scales tip... The girlfriend is in custody, right?

After reading over 155 posts on this thread, I still have no clue what the hell you people are talking about....Uh, is it illegal to come to a thread late and jump to the last posts ?

Who knows.... If she is that bad... she is also cunning enough to have planted the other stuff... Doubt it is that simple.

They've talked about the white box truck; now talking about the Baltimore incident, over the weekend, might be related; they've been told, latest info: joint task force believes it's not connected; reporter saying, however, there's always a lag in info.
Found a van, arrested a man, found weapons, scanners, maps, sniper manuals, but not yet verified.
