A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/13/02

President Bush and First Lady Laura stayed in the nation's capital this weekend so Laura could finish up her National Book Festival yesterday. This morning, the first couple attended church services, and when asked by reporters to comment on the bombing in Indonesia, Bush called the act cowardly and urged the world leaders to once again unite in the global war against terrorism. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Night all, and this will sound silly, but say a little prayer for me. Tomorrow morning I go back to work for the first time in seventeen years. My days of being a kept woman are over! It's only 30 hours a week, but I am really stepping out of my comfort zone -- I'm alternately excited and terrified. See you tomorrow.

My heart goes out to the Aussie's and Bali's murdered in this terrible attack.

Can you *believe* the Anaheim Angels won?!

I would say it was within last 3-6 months. It was Sunday paper. I will also try and find--I can call the Chronicle here in Houston.

Psalm 85

Prayer that the LORD Will Restore Favor to the Land

1 LORD, You have been favorable to Your land;
        You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.
        2You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people;
        You have covered all their sin.Selah
        3You have taken away all Your wrath;
        You have turned from the fierceness of Your anger.

        4Restore us, O God of our salvation,
        And cause Your anger toward us to cease.
        5Will You be angry with us forever?
        Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?
        6Will You not revive us again,
        That Your people may rejoice in You?
        7Show us Your mercy, LORD,
        And grant us Your salvation.

        8I will hear what God the LORD will speak,
        For He will speak peace
        To His people and to His saints;
        But let them not turn back to folly.
        9Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
        That glory may dwell in our land.

        10Mercy and truth have met together;
        Righteousness and peace have kissed.
        11Truth shall spring out of the earth,
        And righteousness shall look down from heaven.
        12Yes, the LORD will give what is good;
        And our land will yield its increase.
        13Righteousness will go before Him,
        And shall make His footsteps our pathway.

I believe the Eisenhower library is in Abilene, Kansas. [Note: the ceremony was this morning, so perhaps he had time to fly back to Houston for the game?!]

WHAT is with it today? There's people who have been Freepers for a year or more and have only posted 2 or 3 times? And all today?
