Pretty entertaining reading. I guess if you post to DU and you put a quote from somebody famous at the end of your post, you establish your intellectual credentials in some strange way. I personally enjoyed this post the most
But as a practicing Wiccan I'm not sure I care for the (mis)use of the pentagram all over it. I don't wanna be uber-pc on this, but it just feels offensive to me.
Never mind that the post was completely off topic, it was still my favorite

They just can't believe Hillary is just a poltical animal. These people are sick over this. Too funny.
To: tiamat
LOL! Hillary voted yes only because the polls showed the American people are for the war on Iraq!

LOL...but...but...I said on an earlier thread where she was speaking AGAINST President Bush while AGREEING that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction...that I was not up to deciphering her PCsychobabble.....and here she still DIDN'T dazzle them with brilliance, but DID INDEED baffle them with BS...sometimes you can just call 'em right without ever having to listen to them live...established behavioral patterns, you know...
To: tiamat
My gracious, they're upset! They think Hill is sucking up to the right, not that she has to, because we love her just as she is.
Fact is, she's looked at the odds. The odds of "no" carrying are less than the odds of Saddam doing something extremely stupid between now and her 2008 campaign, whether "no" carries or not. Saddam zaps Tel Aviv, Tehran, Ankara, Damascus, or Riyadh and anyone with a "no" vote on their record can join the Neville Chamberlain Political Career Society. She votes "yes" and if Bush covers himself with glory she gets to keep some for herself, and if he (and by extension the U.S.) covers himself with excrement, then so much the better for her in '08. A "yes" is a win/win, a "no" is stupid.
Anyone who thinks "what's best for the country" comes into play here, I got a bridge to sell you...

The Hillaryous part is the DUers don't realize just how much in the minority they are on this. They are dillusional. They believe it is only some kind of conspiracy that polls show most people support war against Iraq. In their kool-aid drinking universe everyone is a peacenik.
To: tiamat
The Dems want war more than the Repubs. They see it as a unifying force for domestic unrest during the remainder of the Bush Administartion.

I am fascinated by how anti-semitic they are over there! And this, in the Land of Multi-culturalism. And to think that they would be truly bewildered if you called them NAZIS!
Moi? Bigoted? YOU ARE A RIGHTWINGER, REDNECKED REPUG! I AM A LIBERAL! I LOVE EVERYONE, EVEN THE MURDERING ZIONISTS AND WHITE, CHURCH-GOING KKK!
Sarcasm OFF!

Look at this one:
"She and my boy, Bill, were/are the favorite whipping children of the GOP right. Rethugs did everything possible to destroy both of them and the GOP was able to be so successful in its demonization and villification because THEY STUCK TOGETHER IN THERE OPPOSITION TO ANYTHING CLINTON. Example: not a single repug voted for Bill's omnibus budget bill of 1993 which ushered in our 8 years of peace and prosperity. Then they killed healthcare reform in its fetal stage and they launched massive attacks that led up to that awful election in 1994 and the resultant 104th Congress. So why does she appease them. What a f---ing disaster. She had nothing to lose. They will NEVER support her and now she loses her base. Instead of being afraid of a repeat performance of jeers from firemen, policemen ... she should say go ahead boo me now but you'll be the ones boo-hooing when you see what Bush Inc. does to your unions and your benefits. God help us, the Dems are such f---ing wimps. Canada is looking better and better."
"NY Jewish voters - and their campaign contributions. Oh my God I am so disappointed in her...."
"The unholy alliance between Fundies and Zionists
has just cost Hillary the chance to become president one day. I would bet $100 that her husband said to vote "no". "
These were three of the quotes from that thread...
Looks like they've been torn apart on this. We've got a chance to win, BIG TIME!!!
I did edit the first one so as not to get in trouble over F-bombs.

I know! Isn't it great?
If I didn't know them for what they were, I would ALMOST feel a little bad for them, being so disillusioned. ALMOST! snicker.
WE know that Hill ain't smart! She's just greedy, decietful, and overly-agressive.

Exactly! She demonstrated classic Clinton behavior: lick your finger, hold it up to determine which way the wind is blowing, then act accordingly. Why should that be so shocking to the DUpes?

Cryin' In Their Beer, 'Cos hillary Voted "YES"!Never fear, dummyrats - you'll find a way to forgive her. Love means never having to vote republican.
p.s. - shouldn't that be "cryin in their chardonnay?

I've been checking in at D.U. all day -- hilarious! The funniest part is how they're all lionizing Robert Byrd as the liberal conscience of the world. Nothing more pathetic than die-hard libs genuflecting before that drooling Klansman.
