Please Pray for These Kids ( Assaulted in their homes; Throats slit )

Please pray for these kids that were assaulted in their home here last night. The victims were my son's 16 yo girlfriend and her younger sister and brother.

The youngest boy, Jimmy, is 12 and may not live and one of the girls, Cathy, may never speak again. Connie, my son's girlfriend, is 16 and is stable.

The attack was vicious and the perp has not been caught. The news link gives scant information other than to confirm the attack. I am assuming that they will update the story as new information is received.

The perp was sane enough to pick children rather than someone his own size, evidently. Hatred is a sickness and can do strange things to a person's mind. This kind of crap should never be tolerated. This sickens me. Make an example of this sicko and give him a dose of his own medicine. Makes my blood boil to think how we coddle monsters who prey upon our precious children.

Praying for these innocent chlidren and an end to wickedness.

Dear God, have mercy upon these children and heal their bodies as well as the internal scars this experience has surely inflicted upon them.

The children are under merciless assault as never before, Lord, please send your guardian Angels to protect them , from the cowardly fiends who choose their victems from among the most innocent and helpless.

Being forgiven, as I understand it, even from God, is conditional upon repenting, turning from, and asking forgiveness for the sin. Try not to hate, but neither be in a rush to extend forgiveness before it is even asked for.

THe mental state of the assailant doesn't alter the pain and suffering of these innocent young victims-nor should it ever be a factor in the punishment for the crime.

Twenty-two-year-old Justin Michael Martin faces three counts of attempted murder and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill. Constance, Cathy and James Holdsworth are in guarded condition at Moore County Regional hospital. They're between 12 and 15 years old. A hospital spokeswoman says they underwent surgery to repair their wounds. Police were called to their home around two o'clock Saturday morning. Sheriff's officials say each of the siblings had their throats cut. Officials say evidence at the scene indicated one of the children woke up during the attack and attempted to resist, causing the attacker to flee. Authorities say Martin worked with the children's father at Seven Lakes Heating and Air and was spending the night with the family. Police say Martin had been drinking heavily that night. Martin's being held under a million dollars bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for September 19th.

My prayers go for the children. I know what it is like to lose a loved one. I lost my sister 9 years ago to a couple of perps still out there somewhere. I pray they are caught so that another set of parents don't have to bury a child. I am glad this one is caught already, but with his "mental" condition, not much will happen.

Apparently, I took someone calling him "retarded" as being meant literally. Now, I am not so sure of his mental status other than to say he was evil.
