That has a distasteful ring to it. Don't be so sensitive. You know darn well they're summer camps! Don't make something out of nothing.

Babies also radiate various aromas that would attract predatory animals. My wife could never imagine being away from a child. I'm not saying that to blame anyone. It's just that one never knows.

Haha, when in 'Bear Country' a little glock auto is not something I would want to stake my life on. In fact I'd never trust any auto weapon. I probably wouldn't be carrying a rifle, but for damn sure I'd be carrying my Freedom Arms .454 Casull with 6 inch barrel by my side and have my Taurus 415T .41 magnum with CorBon 250 grain loads as backup.
If you insist on taking a Glock into Bear country. Just remember to save the last round for yourself after you piss said bear off.

I prefer this.. In .454 Casull with some nice rubber grips.

My cousin's ex owned a gold mine in the north of Alaska. Plenty of polar bears. He carried a 44 Magnum with him at all times.

That's illegal in the New York of George Pataki. You carry a gun and you're not an LEO, your in deeper sh-t than any bear can produce.

Good, so why aren't there more bearskin rugs in the trendy stores? I would love to have one, myself. Im not sure about Maines laws now, but back in '91 (when I went Bear hunting there) bait piles were allowed and there were stores that sold animal skins (in Bangor if I recall) & there were bear hides for sale...about $350 (then). But all this might have changed with the illegal trafficing in bear gall bladders. Try a google search for bear skin rugs - Im sure there must be a source available

Better file down the sight on that thing, so's it won't hurt so much when the bear shoves it up your A$$. OMG LOL !! - Likely jamming it so far he'd cough shell cases

No reason? I had read, but, of course, cannot verify that most "unprovoked" attacks ARE for a reason (nothing we do wrong, just a fact of nature)--women who are menstruating.

I would like to see all the Jewish summer camps offer firearms safety and training as part of their program. Israeli parents who send their kids to camps in the U.S. would probably be all for it, but they might run into some opposition from the lily-livered federation liberals who fund these camps. In addition, the state should offer a course in wild animal safety (maybe at a local community college) or just have a DNR ranger visit the bungalows and chat with the vacationers.

All well and good in some areas, but not in Quetico; firearms of any kind are not allowed in Quetico Provincial Park.
The stated rules suffice. I am not aware of any fatalities due to bear attack in Quetico, although I wouldn't say it's impossible.

We live in a suburb of Philadelphia and a large black bear was seen at my daughter's school early this summer. It scared me because the bear was seen at an entrance that is often left open, particularly on hot days. The police descended on the location, but the bear was not caught.

Mayhap it was looking for a surrogate cub...?

The child was sitting in a stroller in a bungelow colony...and the bear just popped in and bit her in the head...there was no time to save her as everyone ran for cover...When in bear country, it is prudent to have a bear gun handy.
