In a tactical misstep, Mayor Michael Bloomberg boasted inaccurately Friday that the City Council speaker supports his sweeping new anti-smoking bill. The legislative leader, Gifford Miller, later emphasized he has yet to back it.

Bloomberg's latest turn against smoking is far-reaching and would make it illegal to light up even in workplaces, which now have designated smoking areas. The bill would also apply to outdoor cafes, where smoking is currently permitted.

Exposing the hypocrisy of Cherner and his toadies is just as legitimate and important as it is exposing the so-called science being used expand these smoking bans.

My thoughts as well! Most Conservatives in here are anti-gay and a lot of them are Catholic. I hope this turns some heads around so they will know what is TRULY going on with this anti-smoking issue.

This man is so guilty of spewing inaccurate, deceitful and dishonest lies about second hand smoke, and telling everyone that we smokers are KILLING everyone!

I think turn around is fair play in this case. His lifestle is ok, but our smoking is NOT??? The non-smokers pay more for the gay life style in health care then what they EVER will for smokers. WE PAY OUR HEALTH CARE, thank you!
