Saturday, August 10, 2002 -- The PBS tribute to the police and fire fighters of September 11 is what set me off. It was just a notice between programs. But, I had been waiting for something to light the fuse ever since a local [Oregon] station official came on the screen and asked me to write them a letter about how Oregon Public Broadcasting has changed my life. He expects the letters to be about how much more wonderful life is for everybody now that public broadcasting's army of lefties is distorting history, generating racial divisiveness, mis-reporting the news, demeaning capitalism, deriding the Christian faith and promoting deviant sexual behavior that leads to worldwide plague....(snip)

Leftie arrogance!

I haven't watched OPB in years. This article proves it hasn't changed, and is probably worse than it used to be.
By not watching I've done myself, and my blood pressure, a great favor.
Thanks for the ping!

This has to be the best review of PBS that I have EVER read. Thanks for sharing it.

The problem is that we were promised dozens of times that republicans would defund these
Perverts
Broadcasting
Socialism.
Even when Reps controlled both houses they didn't do it.
Because they don't depend on ratings they will continue to use taxpayer and conned corporate money to try and indoctrinate the public. It's not a matter of not watching them anymore. We have to figure out how to cut this garbage at the source. Their broadcast antennas and demand their removal from cable and satelite as well.

Always notice the programs that PBS highlights when it is grubbing for money; nature programs, classical music, Britcoms, and other non-controversial fare. When the begging ends, it's back to the lesbians, Bill Moyers, and down with evil white men.
To: WaterDragon
When a vote was introduced in Congress to reduce Public Broadcasting just ONE PERCENT, it only got 110 votes, which means 305 critters supported the rip-off!

bttt for exposure of PBS
To: dixiechick2000
I don't watch it either, dixiechick, but I love Leonard's take on these guys! LOL!
From the article..."John Jackson, of the Oregon Department of Forestr said that the inability of illegal aliens to speak English represented a danger to the lives of resident firefighters if instructions have not been understood...."
PBS feels it's marvelous to hire illegal aliens to fight these fires. PBS doesn't think. It "feels"

I'll have to tell my local PBS outlet that all my charitable contributions
this year are going to the Bill Moyers Drunk Driving Defense Fund.
(Of course that would be a lie, but I'd lie to Nazis and Communists just as easily.)

Wasn't it funny that Bill Moyers, always in his pulpit about corporate responsibility, won't even take responsibility for his own drunk driving?
To: Paul Atreides
Who do you know on the Left who has ever taken responsibility for their actions? One of the reasons radical leftism has been so popular, according to David Horoitz, is the seduction of eternal youth -- self-righteous rebellion, a sense of entitlement, and never taking responsibility for one's actions.
To: sinclair
Me, too, sinclair! LOL! Leonard's hits on these Lefties are classics!
To: WaterDragon
It is the easiest thing in the world, to be a liberal. All one has to do is profess to care more than everyone else. It takes a conservative to make difficult decisions and get thing accomplished. Can you imagine the liberals of today trying to build this country, alongside George Washington?

Unbelievably busy weekend, but I thought I'd chime in. Better late than never.
I haven't given these lefties anything for years, but I do confess to tuning in during their begging periods to watch the only good stuff they ever present.
BTW, the busting of that sanctimonious windbag Moyers just about made my month.
To: iconoclast
LOL, iconoclast! That did puncture ol' Moyers image of sobriety and virtue,, didn't it?
To: Paul Atreides
Looks like Bill had himself a little accident in his Dockers, eh?
