Hannity Blasts FreeRepublic (maybe he is right)
Radio
| Sean Hannity
Posted on 08/02/2002 2:40:49 PM PDT by jbstrick
Hannity just stated on his radio show that he has just about had enough of the conservative cannibals on this board. To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.
He said if he wants to get attacked he will go to a Liberal board.
I have a tendency to agree...

Sounds like everyone, Hannity included, thinks there is a war going on here. Instead of everyone continuing it by firing at who they think started it, why don't we just end it and get on with fighting the good fight, against the liberals.
Guess I'll get the flames now. That is ok, it is better than y'all shooting at each other.
Thanks, AM

After Buchanan said that the voters in Florida probably meant to vote for Gore and not him, it should have been obvious even to his most die hard supporters that the only reason he ran was to help elect a democrat.
I'm not crazy about Bush, but I'll take him any day over a democrat.

You think we are better off with what we got huh? What's the matter, Pat to much of a nationalist for you? Guess your more of a global guy huh?.... We're certainly better off with what we've got than with the likes of Pat Buchanan.
I'm a strong nationalist but I'm not an isolationist.
Had the isolationist America-Firsters had their way prior to WW II we would now be living in a nightmare world divided up between Nazis, Communists and Japanese militarists.
That's a cheery thought isn't it?
If Pat Buchanan is the answer the question is too stupid to bear thinking about.

What do you believe is the proper response to a flat-out untrue statement by someone?
There are two ideas as to what 'debate' means:
- "Debate is about persuasion". If debate is about persuasion, then getting along with the opponent is paramount. You never get combative with opponents. When the opponent is flat-out lying, you don't call them on it, you instead try to 'educate' them.
and
- "Debate is about ideas". If debate is about ideas, then a clash of evidence is paramount. You point out inaccuracies and untruths by your opponent. You slam lies and people who ignore the points that refute their position.
I am of the 2nd camp.
I love FR because I see it as a clash of ideas. The one thing I do *not* like about FR is the various blind partisan groups for whom evidence is not important, for whom words don't have meaning.
I mean, when someone says, "I don't think Bill Clinton ever broke the law", I am not going to sit nicely and say, "I just disagree".
And to Mr. Colmes' complaint, blind R partisans who support the Prez regardless of his actions *need* to be prepared to defend their positions. I believe FR is a land of free-thinking conservatives who will largely not just "support any R".

Buchanan didn't run to elect a Democrat. Besides, Bush is a Liberal in a Republican's clothing.
The Green Party took more votes away from Gore than Buchanan took from Bush.
As I have stated in previous comments, the current system is part of the reason why third parties aren't being elected. I would, however, like a Republican like Buchanan to run for President.

Hi-test eh? I KNEW the liberals have all the money...
And all the brain damage.

Quid, debate your point of view. I'd like to hear your reasons for supporting a globalist agenda, a neo-con point of view, if you will.

Not ever?

Did you guys do that...really? OMG.

Oh yeah, sinks??? WELL...........I'M more conpatrioti..........um.........er............patriervati.............ummm...............well, you know!!!! Than you are!!!!!! And.........and..........and I've read Atlas Shrugged 50 times, twice on the john! Top THAT!!!! Load my own ammo, sew my own flags (Stars & Stripes AND Stars & Bars), own more camouflage, have more gun-like things, and can hurl a tomahawk accurately up to 75 yards on a humid day! I can swear at Clinton for an hour without repeating an adjective, and I can pick apart Bush's Lord's Prayer as well as you can pick apart a Daschle press conference. Ya see???? I AM (thumping chest) a much, MUCH humbler, salt-of-the-earth kinda patriconser........um..........well, you know!
I don't bookmark many posts, but I'm bookmarking this thread just for this post.
Now, if you posted it sitting in your basement in your underwear with one ear on the short wave, then you've got it down perfectly!

"Hannity has said several times that Hillary would not give him an interview & he would love to take her on. Have you ever seen O'Reilly interview her? No, she won't give him an interview either."That's because her royal highness will only grant interviews to people who kiss her large backside and won't ask questions that will upset her apple cart.

Hillary is the beef I have with the show. She calls the shots, prearranges the questions, won't go on if she has to talk to Hannity and that other idiot fairly sucks up to her.
She is the only guest who is treated this way! Who the He$$ is she that she, a NY Senator, does not have to answer any questions? She uses the show as a campaign platform and it makes me furious. Screw Hillary!!!!!!

hmm. I haven't been around very long but somehow I doubt 3 or 4 years ago there was a person like 'snodog1' on FR. not for more than a day. Why the mods let him stay on here more than a week is beyond me. all he did was insult everyone with foul language, call their wives/girlfriends/mother whores, etc etc. but I guess the liberal "tolerance" has its fingers dug in everywhere. But I suppose they took care of it in the end.

"Clinton had the brains" You mean the guy that didn't know enough to take the cap off the lenses of the militay binoculars he was gazing into?
To: jbstrick
Hes not a Conservative,he's a mouthpiece for all the corporations that advertise on his show,as all Radio Announcers are, they're Parrots, yes he has Conservative tendancies/views and indeed support, but I have never seen him take an anti-business stand even with some reprehensible companies.Nor bag Republicans when they do,do something stupid ,those press club lunches and other invites are too nice to loose.Conservative does not necessarily mean Republican,I for one have just seen Bush do too many turnarounds, flip flops and socialist crap like testing the waters on Posse Comitatus to believe either damn party has the answers or represents the people any longer. You mistake cannibalism for critism that needs to be addressed BEFORE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY realises its just all a Fortune 500 dog and pony show.
To: FreedomFriend
Pat Buchanan is a lightning rod that brings out the Democrat vote. He is a proven loser who lets his opponents define him with no effective response on his part. His message doesn't translate to votes, so either he is the problem or his message is the problem or both are the problem.

You guys are mostly talking to yourselves. The rest of us are sick of it. All I am trying to tell you is, THAT ATTITUDE does absolutely NO GOOD for Bush. You guys are driving conservatives away. Granted, Bush is driving us away pretty well on his own, but he has some redeeming qualities, not the least of which is that he is much better then ANY Democrat.
Keep your little Bush click just as tight as you want. In the end, you guys are harming him more than we are, imo.
