Hannity Blasts FreeRepublic (maybe he is right)
Radio
| Sean Hannity
Posted on 08/02/2002 2:40:49 PM PDT by jbstrick
Hannity just stated on his radio show that he has just about had enough of the conservative cannibals on this board. To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.
He said if he wants to get attacked he will go to a Liberal board.
I have a tendency to agree...

As always, you are our ray of sunshine. Concur.

LOL! It's the extremists on here who sling the most mud. Most conservatives just want to sound off on issues, or discuss current events. It's the extremists that want to fight and question others' motives and judgment. Plus the Libertarians, who for the 80th time are NOT conservatives, condemning anyone who votes for the GOP. No pilgrim, the Republican conservatives on here only want to share and discuss.
If the extremists had enough numbers to have their own websites, they would not be here. Or would they? Like the late Andy Kauffman, are they deliberately trying to provoke reactions and arguments? They are not here to discuss anything. They are here to throw their little bombs, not to engage in logical, polite discussion. I tell you this: whereas before, I would kindly yield to these extremists, I now meet them head on, so any visitors to FReep reading this will know that they do not have anything to add. Subtraction is their pastime.
You can always tell an extremist from a true conservative: a conservative has no problem voting GOP. An extremist ALWAYS has a problem with that. I'm as conservative as they come. If you're to the right of me, I would question why that is. I got an education being on FReep the last two years, and it completely explains why the GOP is not in power in the numbers it could otherwise be. Read most of the posts on FReep and you too will figure it out. If you know about Joshua and Caleb, then you too can understand how corrosive and damaging negative "bad apples" can be. Trying to be mannerly, I avoided debate with them until about a year ago. Those days are over.....

Probably more on your plate or hanging over your fireplace, i bet. ;)
NOthing more shocking for a PETA chick than a carnivorous Hindu, especially one ordering the pate and then the steak.
To: discostu
Having both the left and right hate you is also very bad for a President and Bush has achieved that by not vetoing all this liberal crap. The left will hate him no matter what but the right did not hate him last year. Now Bush needs to carry nearly all the squishy moderates in the country( a majority of the population) and they're position on who to vote for can change like the wind since moderates have no real beliefs at all.

I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this, so fire away! ;-)
Flame a guy named "Pyro?"
Sabertooth's mama raised a smarter cub than that.

LOL. My daughter says he'd be cute if it weren't for the Yankee accent. :)

xsmommy has a crush on Hannity. hobbes1 and I started a rumor that he's gay. Purely in jest. Maybe that's got him steamed. That is most certainly it. Go apologize.
Besides, we in the fan club never believed you.

Now wait just a goldurn minute! You cannot put Allan Keyes in that sentence and expect anything but dirision.

It's ironic that Hannity would complain, actually, since FR has recently become so sanitized and uniform as to be......dare I say it.....a little boring! If his feelings get hurt now, I shudder to think what he would have thought back in the "good old days."
Prior to 9-11, there used to be a much broader spectrum of acceptable opinion here.
Anyway, I do hope Jim or someone from the board gives Sean a call to smooth things over. It certainly not in this forum's interests to be subject to that kind of public dressing down from a prominent conservative.

"Y'all try and play nice. Don't rub pretty boy's fur the wrong way any more" I think its Neal Bortz the daytime radio talk show host that calls Sean "cutie pie" and now I think I know why.
To: Torie
I do understand the difference perfectly. I agree with you. I think that's what Sean was talking about when he said that conservatives were cannibalizing each other here. But to a certain extent, I think we should be a little bit fairer with many of our public officials. Like I said earlier, there's a a difference between constructive criticsm and just plain bashing, and that apply to EVERYONE, IMO.

CONSERVATIVES FOR THE ANN COULTER RADIO HOUR UNITE!
To: MurryMom
Ever wonder why you don't get banned? Believe it or not, there's a very good reason.
If she can't guess, FReepers are invited to clue her in. Please be gentle.

He's scoring in the upper 60s to lower 70s on his approval rating. If that's both the left and right hating him then I think we've become so marginal as to simply not matter.
To: Stand Watch Listen
seems I read that comment about 2,3 times a year for the last four years now....
They come and they go.
Mostly it's those who never seem to grasp that this ISN'T their board.
