Watch and pray. The rescuers are optimistic that they will reach the cavity where the miners are located by midnight, perhaps as soon as 10pm et.
They just reported that several PA miners were caught in a similar situation thirty years ago AND WERE RESCUED ALIVE AFTER A WEEK IN THE HOLE.

I hope it's a FOX vs. CNN thing and not a Geraldo vs. no-name reporter thing.

I guarantee you its because of Fox(fair and balanced) and NOT Geraldo. How about that question just know about insurance problems? Boom, end of interview.

I can't believe they have been in 55 degree water for three days. Even with 100 degree air being blown in on them, that level of hypothermia is not survivable, especially if you can't move and your can't generate warmth.
I think it is more likely that they are getting wet while getting into the rescue basket. However, if they are just in a couple inches of water, the compresed warm air can keep the whole chamber warm, but not if they were in a larger body of water.

Did you see the guy that was connected to everal of the miners via family & firends? This was a Joe-6-pack Bubba kind of guy, who flat out said he had no desire to be on TV, yet he talked to Geraldo...I think he may have talked to the guy off camera enough to establish a rapport that when the guy wanted to talk, guess where he went...

Number 7 up.

I'm not talking about tonight. I don't even have cable so I can't watch his coverage. It just seems like every time he covers anything, the camera is always trained on him. Sounds like that's not the case tonight.

Stats from FOX. 3000 miners killed per year in the late 1800s. 72 killed last year.I saw on some news channel yesterday that China routinely loses tens of THOUSANDS of miners per year even today, for the obvious reasons: the state is more important than you are.

With all the stories about Wall Street and the heart breaking reports of kidnapped and murdered children in the past few weeks..... To see these guys rescued is a sight for sore eyes.
Thank You Lord for answering our prayers

I think your haterd for Geraldo is influencing your perceptions...the guy had things to do - he left to do them - there was nothing I saw in the interview that could give that impression. And don't start calling me a Geraldo cheerleader - I'm far from it.
