Watch and pray. The rescuers are optimistic that they will reach the cavity where the miners are located by midnight, perhaps as soon as 10pm et.
They just reported that several PA miners were caught in a similar situation thirty years ago AND WERE RESCUED ALIVE AFTER A WEEK IN THE HOLE.

That is neat, I figured it was something like that, I have my sterio hooked up to record my music to disk. I guess someone would of figured a way to do the picture thing too. Now if only I had cable, I could record some pics. (perhaps video would work too).

Not sure as to why such hostility to Geraldo tonite. It was a great move on Fox's part to send Geraldo Rivera there, as he is a celebrity in his own right, and everyone has been coming over to him for interviews and to shake his hand. So, Geraldo is getting all the cushy interviews first. Plus, my guess is that a lot of those guys watch FOX and are not CNN fans. Hahahahaha, CNN. You lose.

I am on dial up too. I however truly believe these pictures are more than worth waiting for. Thank you for the excellent work. Please don't keep the images away from the rest of us because of some's impatience.

Anyone who is against nuclear power and the proposed ANWAR borings had better take a long hard look at this and ask themselves whether or not risking the lives of our fellow Americans is worth it. That's a good point, but it may not be relevant here. I'm not certain of this, but I believe most of the coal that is mined in the Northeast is not used as fuel for utilities, but as a coking fuel for the steel industry. I can't imagine how oil or nuclear power could be put to such a use.
