Just a reminder folks that on this day in 1969--33 years ago, Ted Kennedy drowned Mary Jo Kopecne and got away with it. Massachusetts keeps sending the oversexed drunk back to the Senate. We need term limits.

What can you expect of a family spawned by a crook. Old Joe educated them all well. Teddy is still trying to prove he can drink all of the booze his daddy smuggled into the country during prohibition.

Clinton wanted to be like Kennedy, he even tried to match the Kennedy clan in female victim count.

We need justice, not term limits.

Just because the People's Republic of Taxachusetts keeps sending Teddy Kennedy to the Hill, it's no reason to deny me from sending Chuck Grassley. (Tom "Dung Heap" Harkin is another story, though.)

We should all send this to Teddy and remind him.

She is a great American heroine. She gave her life for her country, thereby keeping Ted Kennedy out of the White House forever. For that great personal sacrifice, a grateful nation owes her undying thanks and remembrance.

BTW, what do you bet that Ted Kennedy's favorite movie isn't "Ghost Story"?

As I remember it, all three brothers were involved in keeping the death a secret for something like 18 hours before it was reported? (tho my recollections may be wrong). Can anyone verify?

"We need justice, not term limits.

As a friend of Mary Jo Kopechne's cousin, I totally agree.

Hard to imagine that this fat bloated slob was once fit enough to escape a sinking car. But of course he seemed to lose his strength when it came time to try to rescue her. Then when it came to picking up the phone to call the police he became weaker still. Seems like he's only been strong enough to wield a fork, knife and scotch glass since then.

No. We need to give Massachusetts back to the Brits (if they'll take it).

Debatable. As time passes, MA Liberals become their own Portraits of Dorian Gray. Barney Frank was just on Fox, trying to explain wht Cheney and all other Bush administration officials should be put to death for crimes against humanity. The Fox guy was all over Frank. Frank looked every inch the besotted, mentally-impaired, ill, badly-dressed, whiney Liberal. He ended his interview complaining that the Fox host wasn't agreeing with him. He looked and sounded like Ted Kennedy after a night in Hyannis. It was WONDERFUL.
