7 KILLED, 20 HURT IN BUS ATTACK NEAR SETTLEMENT OF IMMANUEL
Ha'aretz ^ | July 16, 2002 | Amos Harel, Haim Shadmi and Nadav Shragai,

Seven people were killed and at least 20 people were injured when an explosive device was detonated and shots were fired Tuesday afternoon near a bus close to the West Bank settlement of Immanuel.

Magen David Adom officials reported that eight people were in serious condition.

"A roadside device detonated as a bus was passing near the Immanuel settlement, and shooting then followed," said police spokesman Rafi Yaffe.

According to initial reports, the bus was first hit by several roadside devices, and passengers were then fired on as they left the vehicle. The terrorists who fired on the bus were dressed in IDF uniforms.

Channel Two television said that the injured were not only from the bus, but from a vehicle that was driving ahead of it.

The attack took place shortly after 3 P.M., south-west of the West Bank city of Nablus.

The bus attacked was No. 189, and was operating in conjunction with the Dan company. The bus departed from the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Bnei Brak, near Tel Aviv, at around 2.15 P.M.

The injured were taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, Tel Hashomer in Tel Aviv and Meir in Kfar Sava.

The attack was similar to an ambush on a bus outside Immanuel on December 12 last year in which 10 people were killed.

dennisw, so did I. Yesterday morning, I woke up with this feeling of dread and when I turned on the tube, I was relieved to find out nothing had happened. I had that same dread today...and found out that the murderous @$$holes had killed again.

Blowing a bomb near a bus, then mercilessly mowing down civilians as they flee in terror. Nice bunch of "actvists" these peace loving Palistinians are. Knew they'd start this crap in response to the very idea of an indepentent Pali state.

To the so called palestinian whiners? So now you want to work? You like earning a living in Israel? You hate having a curfew? All you gotta do is, shut down this crap coming from your part of this prison called palestine, you know who is responsible, and things are suddenly back to normal, but that really isn't your objective is it? You would rather whine and hope the complicit media does your job for you while you sit around and complain. What a sniveling lot.

At what age does a Palestinian cease to be a child?

NEVER.

How mature are a people who think they can loose five wars, never negotiate a peace, and then get everything back?

Build the wall and all will be fine.

Someone who claims to know told me that if Israel closed out the West Bank Arabs, Israel's economy would collapse. Apparently, most of Israel's menial dirty work is done by Arabs, same as Mexicans do most of it in the American southwest.

IOW, Israelis are stuck with the Arabs so long as the Israelis refuse to clean their own toilets, or wash their dishes, or dig their ditches, etc.

Americans complain about "illegals," but then refuse to do sweaty dirty work for low wages. Instead, they hire the "illegals" they complain about.

I guess it's the same in Europe. And the same in Israel.

No nation can close its borders until it assumes the burdens of self-sufficiency.

The problem is .... some try to say that we believe in the same God.... Yet how can that be, the God of Christianity and Judaism is the same loving God that preaches compassion. The god of Islam preaches hate and intolerance.

Since the Fall of 2000 Israel drastically limited access for Palestinians into the Israel proper. So, by necessity they are learning to live without Palestinian "cheap" labor. Israeli economy somehow is getting by, but the Palestinian economy is not.

"Israeli economy somehow is getting by, but the Palestinian economy is not."

LOL...WHAT Palestinian economy? Do the peasants under Yasser's dictatorship manufacture anything? Do they own media outlets, such as radio or TV stations? Have they EVER? I know Yasser controls all radio and TV stations....can anyone tell me what PRIVATE INDUSTRY exists in the PA controlled territory? Oh, specifically, I want to know all about Palestinian owned industry, not foreign owned.

The Israelis, at this point, should fight chaya with chaya. Chuck the Marquis of Queensbury rules, and smite the jihadists on their own turf, and without warning. If there is no avoiding a river of blood, then let it be the blood of jihadists.

If it is anything, it would tourism... When I was there, alot of the sites were in Arab controlled territory especially, Jericho, Hebron, Bethleham, East Jerusalem, (The Old City - Arab Quarter), going up into the Old Testament Sites in Judea and Samaria.

There is also some agriculture... the Israelis have worked jointly with Arab farmers in producing a huge crop of citrus, etc.

Tourism and some agriculture...that ain't much. I guess we can't expect any useful and saleable labor saving inventions coming out of Yasserland anytime soon. Before there can be an economy, there has to be a market which encourages invention and competition.

The economy NEVER was an issue for Arafat and his gang. Besides of course pocketing untold billions. With a good will from Arab neighbors, and prime location like theirs, what would stop the Israel-Palestine confederation from repeating Hong Kong success plus some? Would it be better or worse for the "working families"? There were some Palestinian businessmen who did business with Jews. Arab-Israelis still do. There were some news that Arab villages mayors saying they prefer rule of Israel to rule of lawless PA. Of course, such businessmen and politicians are better be silent now or they'll be shot dead like collaborators. It's all sounds like a pipe dream now, but Israeli entrepreneurship did uplift Israel. They could have been uplifted together, if Arabs would not want to destroy Israel since 1948.

But, they dont have tanks and planes and all the fancy artillery that Israel has.

---> The Pallies are asshole lying losers just like their Arab bruthas who Israel demolished in 4 wars. In an ideal world Pallie morons would be given all the modern weaponry they wanted. Would be given time to train......a few months. Then would take on the IDF. Now who do you think would win????

AND WOULD these lying Muslims accept the result and shut up?
