Has Sen. John McCain become so petty that he now feels he should freeze the entire federal government just to get his own way?

So it would seem.

The petulant Arizona senator and former presidential candidate seems unable to declare victory and move on.

Saw this posted very early this a.m. - now can't find. Thought it was SO GOOD, wanted to post again. Freepers need to BLAST McCaniac for this - he's a traitor!! Please send this to any AZ media outlets you can - as well as McCaniac AND GOP leaders. If they can't control him - which I doubt - they need to neuter him.

Perhaps Sen. McCain has forgotten that he lost the GOP presidential nomination two years ago.

No. He hasn't forgotten. He simply hates W.

Dittomom and others started a recall campaign last year and they put a lot of hard work into it. It was dropped after 9/11 for the sake of unity, but McAnal's continued antics show the attempt was right on track.

McCain's intellectural capacities are deteriorating rapidly. Soon, he will mentally devolute into a Democrat.

Traitor? (tra'ter)n. One who betrays one's country, or cause, esp. one's comrades or cause in times of great peril...
Hmm-m-m-m, let's see: John McCain--Navy A4 Skyhawk pilot, shotdown over N. Vietnam, spent nearly 8 years in "Hanoi Hilton"; refused early release so another POW could go in his place. Traitor, don't think so!

But now, traitor, may apply to those who did everything they could to get out of having to go to 'nam: Rush Limbaugh, Phil Gramm, Mitch McConnel, Newt Gingrich, Trent Lott...you know, the ones held in such high regard by some FReepers.

He doesn't wear bitterness well and his spoiler attitude eclipses his honorable military service.

but does any of this (regardless of party or creed, left or right) really belong in the American system?

Yes, of course it belongs in the system. Where else shall they go to participate ?

Why do you find campaign finance reform to be so threatening? ...without the aid of Enron

Number 1: CFR negates the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Number 2: How does the DimocRatic fiasco (under Clintoon and Dasholes watch) of enron figure into this equation????????????????????

Why do you find campaign finance reform to be so threatening?

Not threatening, but unconstitutional.

McCain's idea of what you call "Campaign Finance Reform" is essentially slugging the mouths of people that want to say something. Which is their right. The fact that he can support the placing of duct tape over someones right to speak, especially when it involves speaking against incumbents, is sickening.

McCain has pretty much shed any teflon he deserved due to his past service to his country. He is crazy. Like Capt. Queeg in the Caine Mutiny, McCain continues to fiddle with those little metal ball bearings as he spouts more garbage that takes away people's rights. He seems to have a Gd complex. And it shows more and more. He is scary.

Don't believe everything you read about McCain's "heroics" in Vietnam............and it's unfair to besmirch those who didn't go. There were millions of able-bodied men who could have but didn't go to Vietnam. Are they all "traitors" in your eyes?

McCain's a fraud and he's anything but a hero. Suggest you do some homework on your boy there; you'll understand.

Why are you putting down X42 Mr Klintoon???????????

People like you that accept McLame's version of his "Heroism" should read factual accounts of his sellout of other soldiers in Nam. Maybe you would understand why MOST non DimocRats have lost all respect for him.

Welcome to FreeRepublic.

McCain is probably one of the few Republican representatives in the Senate with a shred of self-respect.

A Twilight Zone experience? A member of the Keating Five? The founding fathers certainly never intended for ONE misguided senator to wield enough power to hamper our entire government.

Why do you find campaign finance reform to be so threatening?

Because it is nothing but an incumbent protection act disguised as CFR. It prevents dissenting voices (other than major liberal media) from opining during the days prior to the election. A very flagrant unconstitutional act. As it currently stands, the election system is nothing but candidates prostituting themselves for cash/donations - primarily by those with the means to purchase votes/favors.

The darling of the media feels entitled now to have his agenda attended to when he wants it, or he will lose that famous temper of his. He must have been a darling 2 year old!

In the opinion of many here, myself included, this man is not a Rino, he is a MOLE.

I think that most Freepers are referring to his betrayal of the Republican Party. However, that puts him on the side of DemocRATS. As we all know, DemocrRATS are a grossly traitoreous bunch.

Once again, we are all greatful to John McCain's service to our Country. I personally told him that when I met him (I took a picure with him that I am now ashamed of).

Having said that, his advancing age or someother factor has caused his mind to turn to mush. Having once been a POW does not prevent him from loosing his mind.

Today, John McCain is a power hungry megalomaniac, bent on destroying anything and everything in his path, which includes his own legacy, friends, political relationships, and constituents just so he can continue to get airtime, limelight and press conferences.

Those not being hurt by John McCain, DemocrRATS, gun-haters, big-governement types, Liberals, Environmentalists, _______ (fill in leftist cause here).

NO MAN is worth defending as much as you defend John McCain....especially John McCain.

He has served his country well as a soldier, but he is doing his damnest to destroy it as a politician whether he is doing it intentionally or not.
