One wonders if the anonymous writer of this "review" actually saw the interchange! This article makes it seem like Coulter didn't effectively refute Couric's challenges, which she--in fact--did with poise and ease.

Did the writer even see the interview? I doubt he/she paid close attention.

And Coulter was only the winnner because her book "jumped to No. 1 on Amazon.com the same day"... give me a break! Silly leftists. Any "moderate" who saw the interview and reads this article will undoubtedly conclude there is indeed a liberal conspiracy to repress the truth.

Considering the source(CNN), it probably killed them to describe it as a draw. They would have loved to report that Couric won the debate, instead of the truth that Ann mopped the floor with the little nazi soccer clod. But, we should cut CNN some slack, the poor bastards. By the time they turn their ship of fools around to be marginally objective - they'll be in Salon-land.

From the opening salvo of that Couric-Coulter interview, Katy was defensive. She was like a cornered bulldog. She'd zing and then try to hit-and-run to the next topic. Ann would zing her back...and continue her response as Katy tried to get the next question stated.

You could really tell Katie's drawers were in a knot when she effectively told Ann "I'm the one conducting this interview."

I'm not a fan of journalists who use a lot of rhetoric such as Coulter, but I can stomach a Coulter who doesn't hide behind an air of "objectivity", importance and goodwill all the while pushing her political agenda a heck of a lot more than the falsely effaceing tactics of Katie Colon.

The immodest proposal, as Couric reminded viewers, got Coulter fired from the National Review.

Looks as though they didn't see the actual exchange.

Members of Pakistan's tribes often fire small and heavy weapons in the air to celebrate weddings and other festive occasions.

Such a quaint custom. Darwin would approve. Kill'em before the multiply.

Please delete this entire thread. It calls for violence:

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity," she (Ann Coulter) proposed in a syndicated column about Muslim countries

What is wrong with that? Two out of those three are the things you do when you declare war.

If the tables were turned, the Arabs would say "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and enslave the people."

I thought Couric ghost-wrote this article, until I read this:
The winner of the bout seemed to be Coulter, whose Crown title jumped to No. 1 on Amazon.com the same day.
(BTW: I saw the 10+ minute interview and I agree that Coulter won.)

.... got Coulter fired from the National Review. Coulter contended that the conservative periodical let her contract run out.

Wrong! Coulter said that she worked for Human Events and that National Review simply dropped her syndicated column. You can't be fired by someone you don't work for.
