AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOV. GEORGE PATAKI -- He's Handed "The Ballad of Mike Moran"

A good time was had by all at a cocktail reception for New York Governor George Pataki at the Malibu, CA home of David Horowitz.

FReepers TwoStep and broomhilda were there. Thank you TwoStep for letting me know about the event.

Talk show hosts with whom I talked: Michael Reagan, Peter Ford, George Putnam, Ray Briem, and Tammy Bruce. I recalled with Tammy one of my favorite all time radio moments when she finally announced "I hate Bill and Hillary Clinton." She acknowledged that Clinton is a rapist.

I had a chance to chat with Chris Ruddy and Jim Hirsen from NewsMax and to tell Bruck Hirschensohn that I sure wished I could have addressed him as "Senator." Briefly, I had the chance to talk to Orange County Congressman Dana Rohrabacher. One very cultured historian named Claire, formerly from New York, actually recognized that I had a tie which was a depiction of Pablo Picasso's "Guernica."

And, I had the chance to talk to Gov. Pataki. I suspect that I am the only one who gave him a business card. In addition, I had the opportunity to tell him what my company is doing in New York. As he was leaving, I presented him a copy of "The Ballad of Mike Moran."

Oh, yes, I had Ray Briem hand him a limerick:

Perhaps you choose whiskey or saki
Or you cheer for soccer or hockey
There is one thing, you see
On which all can agree
New Yorkers, you must choose Pataki
