GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Faced with legal and political obstacles, managers of the Klamath Basin national wildlife refuges have given up trying to move commercial farming off land that was once marsh used by Pacific Flyway waterfowl.
"The laws the way they are and the politics the way they are, farming is going to be part of our life," said Phil Norton, manager of the national wildlife refuges straddling the Oregon-California border. "We are trying to work with the local community."

"Is this a wildlife refuge or a potato refuge?" said Jim Waltman of The Wilderness Society. It's a human refuge, dolt. Human needs come first. A slogan that should be branded on your forehead...

It is very clear that environmentalists consider themselves to be at war against the rest of society. I think it's past time the rest of society reciprocate. The Klamath farmers should join and collectively sue the collective pants off the environmentalist organiztions. Their "terrorist" tactics have had a severe negative impact on the Klamath region.

"The laws the way they are and the politics the way they are, farming is going to be part of our life Yeah. No Farming=No Food=No Life. So, yes, farming is going to be a part of your life.
I swear, people are getting weirder every day.

Aha! It now becomes clear. The whole Klamath water issue was not about fish at all. It was about forcing farmers off of their land to turn it back into a wildlife refuge. I am outraged! My great grandfather farmed in Oregon from 1863-1892 and only moved to Calfirnia for the health of his youngest child who had asthma and needed the dryer climate. Who are these "johnny-come-latelies" to decide that farming doesn't belong in Oregon?

It is very clear that environmentalists consider themselves to be at war against the rest of society. I think it's past time the rest of society reciprocate. Society needs to get it's head out of it's collective arse, and start paying attention to the promulgation of the 'suggestions' and other boiler-plate emanations from the UN and it's Agenda21 policies. I don't see that happening without another internal revolution or an external war.
And I used to be an optimist!

Farmers: "if we don't feed the people they'll perish and animals will take over the world. How about we just stop feeding the environmentalist then humans and animals can peacefully coexist."
