Having just gotten over pneumonia, I know how tough that can be. As a complication to something else, well I can't imagine...

 

A passel of prayers for Gary, and for the whole family. May the steady hand of the Great Physician be upon him, and may the peace that surpasses all understanding be upon you all.

Dear Father, I ask in Your Son's name that complete healing be given to this beloved stepfather. Guide each surgeon's hand as they seek to repair the damage caused. Show them every vessel that needs to be repaired, each bit of tissue that must be removed, every nerve that has been damaged. Give these surgeons the very best skills needed to perform this delicate surgery, and let nothing be left undone. Stretch forth Your hand and cause his tissues and organs to regenerate quickly. Restore this man to his previous good health and vigor, and let all who care for him be amazed at the speed of his recovery. Cover his entire family with Your special protection. In Jesus' name I ask these things, that Your name be glorified and praised...Amen!

**UPDATE**

Another ct scan was performed today and confirms that the bullet did indeed enter his Spinal cord as opposed to going near or around it.

That is one major issue. Only the Lord can restore his legs...I thank all of you for your prayers so far and you r continued faith that the Lord is willing to move on his behalf as a result of the requests being made. I "know" He is able.

Also, the Doctors are now considering that he has contracted menangitus [sp?] instead of pneumonia...there are still tests to run to confirm....eitherway his lungs are infected.

Another concern is that when the bullet travelled through different organs...it carried junk into his spinal column and an infection is now occuring there also.

I give it to everyone straight not as a discouragement but so that everyone is aware when they pray, what it is that they are confronting.

My confession and meditation is that my Pops will stroll into this house under his own power sooner rather than later, and that it will be a witness to the Power of Jesus to him and the rest of my family.

And we ask at this time that although the bullet has entered the spinal cord, you will display yet another miracle, as you had shown in your resurection. If it be in your will, restore those legs!

And ease any other discomfort of those directly touched by this situation, remind them that upon your return every tear will be wiped away, for it was promised in your word.

You and others are more than welcome. He is on the ninth floor Neurotrama unit. He is heavily sedated and not cogniscant.
