I was just over at the Webby Awards site, making my voting choices. I got to the Activism category... and just about puked.
PETA is far in the lead, and oh, are their supporters crowing about it!
I strongly suggest that everyone go to the Webby Awards voting page, and register to vote (name and email address required: they send a password to that email address, and you log in with it.)
Log in, go to the Activism category. Then in the write-in box, vote. Vote for FR, vote for Second Amendment Sisters. Vote for something, but by all that is righteous, do not let a hypocritical pack of scumwads like PETA win! >:{~
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; Editorial; Miscellaneous; News/Current Events; Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: activism; peta; webbyawards

BTW, PETA has only 25% of the vote. I don't think it would take all that much to knock them *far* out of first place. (Marijuana.com--a site for legalization of marijuana and hemp products--is leading the write-ins at this time with 5%.)

Hmm, I went and voted. It appears there are 2 competing entrees for FR: http://freerepublic.com; and http://www.freerepublic.com. I voted for the second. Everybody should decide to vote for the SAME one.

It looks like you can vote only once per category. Two are Politics and Activism. Here are the set ups for a cut and paste;
Free Republic
http://www.freerepublic.com/
Second Amendment Sisters
http://www.sas-aim.org/

Nice how all their non-write-in candidates are looney Lib sites, huh?
To: Silverdrake
There are 2 entries. Make sure and vote as follows:
Name: Free Republic
URL: http://www.freerepublic.com
This site is in serious need of Freeping
