Attention New England Activisits!
Posted on 06/02/2002 6:11:47 AM PDT by Maceman
TO ALL NEW ENGLAND FREEPERS:
I am exploring the feasibility of bringing in the conservative Leadership Institute to run a Grass Roots Activist training seminar in Massachusetts. They are the group that is putting together the work shops for the Las Vegas Freeper conference in August.
In order to have them come, I need to find a minimum of 30 attendees willing to pay $100 each for the seminar. The money needs to be collected a month before the seminar.
Are there enough Mass Freepers who might be interested in participating in such an event? Please let me know if you think you might be interested.

All I can say is that the Leadership Institute is a fine organization and well worth the money. I have personally never received any of their training, but some folks I hold in high regard have, and they speak glowingly of the group's effectiveness.

Good luck getting the Freepers together! Sure wish I could attend.

I'm not likely to fly from Nebraska to Massachusetts to attend the seminar, no. The cost would be considerably greater than $100.

At this point, I'm just kind of taking a temperature check to see whether there is sufficient interest to even justify the effort to make this happen.
You think you might be interested? (No obligation at this point.)

YES most defiantly. Now If you could get more then 30 to participate... would the cost go down?(say what if we got 100 people to join..?) Trying to get an understanding of how it could be more affordable for people. I Know lots of people who would love to go.. 100 bucks is steep per seminar though.

What would be the price point that would be attractive to them?
So far the only affirmative responses I've gotten are from you and Little Bill (and Maceman makes three).

Well talking to some of the people on Paltalk. People would love to go. But 100 Bucks Per seminar is just to much for everyone. If we could somehow Make it more affordable I really think you would have Better luck getting People together. How about asking who would be interested (cost aside) I really think you'd get a slew of comments. People see the 100 Bucks per seminar and don't bother reading more. Most families are working just to make ends meet, and while People may gain lots of Insight and knowledge of how to get the message out. They really don't want to spend 100 Bucks. That's My Opinion anyway. I would be willing to not only go .. but drive, carpool with people. Look into it and get back to me. :) Thanks! Tammy

We're paying out of pocket because my husband is self-employed. We pay $1,000 per month for health insurance. It's more than our mortgage! We're in NH, but have doctors in MA.
To: Maceman
Mace: I will pick up half the cost, $500, for ten people.

Not to sound arrogant, but what benefit will we derive from attending this institution's seminar ?
Our core group already consists of articulate individuals with solid principals. If we are able to raise that kind of capital, we should explore ways to better market and advertise our group.
Keep me posted.
